Title: 8 Power Throw 106 Throwing
Post by: kasMVC on March 01, 2013, 05:01:23 am: Hey guys I know that there's a great formula for throwing Involving 13 WPF per power throw and Helmet weight and gauntlet weight and how tall you are

However in siege someone threw some type of heavy axe at me and I was able to toss it back to him, despite the text at spawn saying my proficiency was too low

What is the highest difficulty item I can use without head armor or gloves with 8 Power throw and 106 throwing?

Post by: Malaclypse on March 01, 2013, 05:25:34 am: With no armor you're still 2 prof short of being able to utilize your 8 PT AFAIK- anything you toss will be handled as though you are throwing with only 7 PS (or less if you subtract more than 11 more from armor), which is enough to use any throwing item in the game.

tl;dr: Your proficiency is too low to utilize your 8 PT.

Post by: Turboflex on March 01, 2013, 10:30:09 pm: 8*13 = 104 so he should have enough while naked. The error message just tells you you're not using ALL your 8 PT. You might still have enough WPF (post-weight penalties) to use 4-7 PT, so enough to pick up a heavy axe.

But then there is no reason to have 8 pt. Wouldn't you be better off just having 7 pt?

Post by: Turboflex on March 02, 2013, 02:36:59 am: well yea 8 PT pretty ridic unless you are a gimmick pure thrower running around in leather/cloth/naked. I guess with 8 PS you can hit hard but it's still just kind of a troll build.

It's not. My build is 27/15 , 9 pt (lv34 yes , at lv30 was 24/15) and I use byrnja as armor. If you find the way to play that's build you can be very usefull.
