From what I've experienced there really isn't much of a "cap", although 150 is a good wpf to be at for pure build or 160.

No, it's not true. You're imagining it.

Have you never played single player? Get your char to 200 WPF skill, there's a difference all right. Better yet, hack the stats to 400 or whatever with import/export, then you'll really see something.

In cRPG it's more of a soft cap. Going further does make a difference but the difference between say 150 and 160wpf may only be 1 or 2 extra swings per minute (if you spam) and slightly faster blocks.

The only 150 wpf cap that I can think of is the accuracy cap for the hunting bow which is 150 wpf.

I am going to 180 archery with a strong-bow. Hope that crosshair gets tight. if not i can still retire after that and go on full-powerdraw :O

Not worth it cause at least the accuracy of strong bow is capped pretty early.
Here's the max accuracy of a MW strong bow(173 wpf, naked,5 pd):

You reach it's max accuracy at 150-160 wpf
Go dedicated xbowman with sniperxbow if you want a really tight crosshair.

Slightly off topic, but what is better overall, a warbow or longbow?

Some of the single player mods have units with 400+ wpf... Oh god do they hurt. And when they have 6 HA and a bow doing pierce damage? Goodbye world!

Walt proved that higher wpn prof makes your weapons swing faster, i concluded from his tests that 120 weapon prof add's 7 speed to your weapon. Swinging a milisecond faster than another weapon needs 9 more speed.
