I will not buy it straight away because my contract with my mobile company expires in December.

I still rock my Galaxy Nexus and it's still abeast no real need to upgrade, hoping for a new Nexus by the end of the year so i could buy that, kinda like the stock Android experience. If not s4 probably.

What are the specs?

I've got the Galaxy Note II for my man sized hands, and my wife and kids have the Galaxy S III, which is already as large a screen size as they want. It fits in the middle which is too big for them, too small for me. The 13 MP camera would be nice, but we already have a digital camera and the 8 MP is fine for when we don't have it. I've got 2GB RAM already, and while it would be cool for them to have more than 1GB, this isn't a PC and it is plenty for them a it is. Maybe if we did more gaming, but we don't and what we play is handled just fine with our current devices.

You heard this from whom? A GPS, no matter which phone company, works off the same satellites managed by the U.S. Department of Defense. What differs is the map program that utilizes the information. You want to know what the iPhone maps are like? Here, this is a quote from Tim Cook, the Apple CEO.

Quote
While we are improving Maps, you can try alternatives by downloading map apps from the App Store like Bing, MapQuest and Waze, or use Google or Nokia maps by going to their websites and creating an icon on your home screen to their web app.

Even HE doesn't recommend that you use their GPS map system and goes so far as to recommend NOKIA over his own app

Stop fucking implying everyone lives in fucking America, seriously.

I don't know where Ujin lives, so the term gps could just be slang for global navigation satellite system, but the word GPS refers to a specific system of satellites that rumblood is referring to.

GPS is an american satellite network, y'kno, that is merely lent for public use. I think there was a similar european network, but it is not used publicly, afaik.

They are building one right now, I don't believe it has been launched yet. Russia, China, and India have simular networks in the sky or in development as well.

Still using my Iphone 3g  :)

Might switch to a Nexus 4 in a near future.

Some interesting GPS info. Europe and Asia will eventually have their own system, but it takes a lot of satellites and as the U.S. provides usage free of charge, well..., why spend the money if you don't need to? They don't even have the built in error any longer for civilian usage, and at any rate most of Europe is a strategic ally and would get the error correcting technology anyhow even if it was still there.
