I just got an glorious Idea for Strat xD

Thats why i officaly start the first Horde in Strategus.
Everyone wo is interested too join me is herby invited.

What is a The Horde?

As iam quite active at the Strat Map i would take the "Lead" of The Horde.Basiclly u just need too follow me at the Strat Map and i will do all the organizing.First AIM, would too be too equip everybody equally with the best Equip availabel at the Map(1-2 month) and being a trade Caravan so everyone protects eachother while making a Profit.As The Horde grows so will his Opportunitys....Ofc. u free too do anything that serves our Group with no restrictions.

if u got an army of 1-1,5k troops equipped with +3 Gear im pretty daarn sure u can find someone who is interested in that.
ofc the price will depend at the Buyer and his seriousness bout strat but id think thats not a Problem in here xD
And if u cant sell that armys just take the assured place in the roster and the free EXP and free Fun.

I was thinking about something like this before strat v4 started and the property system put a damper on things, how instead of sitting in fiefs it'd be more fun to just circle the map in a big mongol style horde now that we can recruit troops while moving. 

But instead of (something I'm not going to type at work) train for the name, maybe something more along the lines of the Golden Horde or the Golden Company for the name.

well i think the Theme could be pretty flexibel with the time like 1 week we do the Dschinghis style the next we do a WHAAAAAGGGGG^^

Well, now that we have big care-bear alliances it's hard to do a mongol style horde just going where it wants. The big alliances are strong enough to simply stop that. BUT should Strategus become more chaotic, where the alliances are split into many smaller and weaker factions busy fighting eachother. These Factions wouldn't want to make another enemy from a "mongol horde", but let it pass and trade and hope it goes away without attacking or raiding anything. This way a fast, cav based army could easily ride around the map, buy and sell good and actually slowly stack up gold and shiny equipment. Possibly raiding unprotected trade caravans from weak faction that wouldn't dare to raise a finger against such force. Once enough gold was stacked this horde could just make huge deals with other factions. For example buying more troops, trading rights with factions powerful enough to match the power of the horde. Or possibly make deals with their own armies to aid in wars. "2000 shiny armed cavalrymen will attack and raid your enemies IF blaa blaaa...."
A fiefless army, sustaining itself by trading and looting. I think it would be possible.

hmm RAPE TRAIN isnt actually my creation.Back in the days we gotted some at eu1 ^^ as far as i know there was no sexual acts being included other then e peen.
A RAPE TRAIN consisted of a hole Team ,and when succesfully runned, of both Teams of the Battelserver.It literally acted like a Train or Caravan and every Player would run in a Lane following the Player who iniciated the RAPE TRAIN.
So link it with that xD

I like The Golden Horde Theme maybe Huns could be considered too.

Dude the concept of a feifless, mobile faction that raids and pillages is wonderful. I think it could be great for strat, even if it was ineffectual and short-lived. It would serve the same purpose as bandits and deserters in single-player - they don't conquer the world, but they make it more interesting, providing a real thematic opposition to the "knightly" orders that dominate Strat as-is. I could really get behind it.

I just don't think it should be called RAPE TRAIN, and I won't support anything called RAPE TRAIN. The coolest thing about your idea is its RP potential, and the name RAPE TRAIN just utterly ruins it.

Rape train seems appropriate, as in those times, raids on villages and castles would typically end up with the entire civilian population repeatedly raped by the invading forces and/or killed. To get angry at someone for accurately depicting this fact is deplorable. Maybe you would like to romanticize medieval warfare by watching heath ledger and kevin kostner prance around in knight uniforms on the big screen, but the fact remains; it was a brutal and bloody period, and rape was rampant.

Deplorable? Do you seriously think he is using the word Rape in order to accurately portray the time period? No, it's just a piece of inappropriate gamer jargon. In any case, this game doesn't have rape in it. There is a reason that rape, even if present historically, was not included in either M&B Warband or CRPG. And the reason? Because rape is, to use your own word with a little more justification, deplorable.


EDIT: But to keep the thread on topic, SoA_Sir_ODHarry, I think a more generic title for the group could allow for more versatility... like what if it was just "The Horde"? It would be a pan-tribal nomadic army, sort of like what Ghengis Khan had going at the beginning of his career, before the Mongols organized themselves (at least, I think that's how it went down).

...Too bad there is already a clan called "Norse Horde" - that steals a little bit of thunder, there.

Woah buddy slow down on the use of that R word. You need at least two trigger warnings every time you say that word. I'm so disturbed by reading that word, now I'm going to have to go into my Feelings Containment Chamber for at least half an hour until I feel like the internet is safe again.

As far as the idea of the thread... coming from the position of a Strat-nerd number cruncher, this idea is cool but probably not sustainable.

Well, there actually is rape in this mod. If you have ever played "Defend the Virgin", you'll notice that while not animated for obvious reasons, the goal of the game mode is to stop the virgin from getting brutally gang raped by the opposing force.

Yeah my Call of Duty clan is called the Schutzstaffel and we roleplay massacring jews. It's historical so if we didn't do that, it would just be stupid I think.

No one is talking about roleplaying rape, there are games for that I'm sure you're aware of, but I have seen numerous SS clans in call of duty.

I coosed the closest colour too white since its a "Faction" for the white dots at the Strategus Map :)

IF u join and need it i will help u with my currently limited Ressources without any Boundaris or any Demands of u ,as i hope when u got addiotanal Ressources by urself u will donate too The Horde too let the Project grow....
Currently i just try too get more Ressources and Members and next Days i will announce a  Route where we can trade safely.
