Just wondering if the devs still make large patches which include player ideas for crpg or if all the attention is given to the newborn.
-
Obviously they develop crpg. If they weren't then they wouldn't have changed the message system. (It has been changed and is 3p1c)
-
It feels like they do. But the lessening effort is also slightly noticable imo, compared to the swift work that was done before.

ahahahhaha

Well, different dev, different workethic, different still ongoing involvement/development.
Website is Harald afaik. Who updates stuff frequently. cmp does very frequent updates for WSE. On the other hand I doubt that chadz is doing anything crpg-related any longer (right now).
You can view the posthistory of the different guys and see where and what they post and kind of "guess" (still only a guess!) how involved they still are.

I'm really hoping they add the Leather Lamellar Armor that was submitted. And I'm still patiently waiting on the Weapon Proficiency update.

ahahahhaha
.....-.- Id say it was pretty swift. If you would put a modding team together out of the blue, I think all youd have to show for it year later would be couple of new lame armor and weaponmodules and a few shitty barely stable dedicated servers. It aint easy......is all im sayin.
-
I think they forgot NA exists. We haven't got any of the patches the EU server has got in what must be months now. Damnit give me my 1h turn-speed buff already.

Would be awesome.

I've been following a few major SP mods for years now, in what time they've barely done a single cRPG major patch worth of stuff each - consider that this is also without server/community management and constant headaches over weapon balance and whatnot.

From what I've heard, chadz is unable/unwilling to do an item patch in the conceivable future. It'd be nice if someone could confirm or deny this so that people could stop wasting their time making items and others could stop hoarding their gold and looms for promising items that will never arrive.
-
Does it all mean that cRPG will slowly die... And there is no chance to see cRPG for M&B2???
-
I now wonder if this post from chadz (June 24 2012) was before they started the new project.

None of those things made it in even slightly in 8 months, I expect very little to no development on cRPG personally.

Yeah some official word on this would be appreciated. Also, will there ever be another map rotation update?

"There are also some more drastic changes planned, but not yet certain if they will make it into cRPG or we'll hold them back for the sequelas"
I bet "the sequelas" just came to mean Battlegrounds, over time.

Keep calm and carry on!

Ofcourse Crpg will eventually die out. The mod does already feel slightly neglected by the devs, but like I said. The progress over the years has been pretty swift. I know a modder. One guy worked on his mod for 2 years with his own team. SP mod. Doesnt really have anything to show for it besides fancy armors and a different map. Haters gonna hate! is all I can say. Would have the devteam been less talented, dedicated and hardworking, im pretty sure the overall development would have lasted max 1 year. Be happy with what you got people. Very few Warband/vanilla mods came even close to what this has pulled off......(tbh none did).
And for M&B2? Early to say. Mybe the "Bannerlord" devs themselves took note and are adding something similar to crpg in it. I mean devs arent stupid, when they see something is successful and possible to pull it off, they rip it off. Lets hope they do.

So here are my questions.
---Strategus for AUS
--- Turn speed update for NA
---turn speed update for AUS
---New weapons and/or armour
---Heirlooms (something needs to happen here)
---Will cRPG still be going at the end of the year when I plan to go to the states????

Still no Zitta Bascinet face fix

The devs can use their time for whatever they think is best and we can still be thankful for all the countless hours of fun we had. And that I certainly had. :)
On the other hand I think it would be only fair of the devteam to at least commit to- and announce a stopping of crpg-devwork if it would be indeed halted.
The making of new models and items costs money which the community ultimately pays (I can speak for the Byzantine-Armors for example).
If its clear that there will be no further support for these anyway that would be money, time and effort saved...
