Hi when i was searching for mods on telltale forums, i came across this: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=110584.0
I think it would be an excelent way spice up combat in c-rpg a bit [especially when this mod uses vanilla anims except anim for bow]

shield: no fucking way, its static. you cant move it up and down
crouching: looks cool, but im not sure
archery: looks cool
xbow: maybe only for light xbow? too big difference between reload speed while standing up and while crouching btw
the spinning with your weapon when you draw it: no
new javelin poses: why not
throwing axes with shield: this would break the game
fall animations: crap

No no no. Leave what we already have. Every single player game that changed the animations just made it harder to tell which direction someone was swinging and which direction I had to block. Those 1h/2h animations are fucking terrible. There should never be changes to the melee swinging animations.
I don't mind the idea to add crouching to the game, would be pretty good in fact. There's nothing wrong with the throwing animations, being able to hold your shield up while throwing would make perfect sense, but it would be too OP right now. The game is not balanced around that. In reality, almost all weapons should be able to be swung while your shield is up, but that's not the case in Warband or cRPG so it would be better to leave what we already have.
So I think the only decent suggest would be to add crouching. Don't fuck with the animations we've all gotten used to over the last few years of Warband (that's my biggest pet peeve with a lot of single player mods, they try to make new animations, they end up looking like shit, and make it much harder to decipher which direction you need to block)

Imo the archer poses are too static. Ours are better (although the 90 degree rotated shot looks pretty nice).
The xbow reloading animation is very cool. It is more realistic than this looking down and up again. Your spine and back are fucked if you do this too often with a real crossbow. Reloading time is no problem. Atm we also have the same animation for all the different xbows. You can just make it slower or faster... But we should look out if the shooter's silhouette isn't much smaller for a bigger part of the reload-anim. +1
I think our throwing animations are quite ok. You have to turn your whole upper body to bring enough power and momentum into your arm. So for a throw that has to pierce loomed tincan armour of a 12 year old boy you have to reveal your body for a short time.
As Crazy Cracka mentioned melee should be as it is now. It's too risky to force changes there.

beyond awful. where did this guy get his history lessons?
-
spinning swords is only for those with over 170wpf
-
Crouching, 100% yes. Everything else is lackluster to awful.

I like a few of these (xbow one for sure), but I think most of these animations are a little too cheesy. I love the Combat Animation Enhancement mod on the forums. http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,134185.0.html . I think they're much more involved and will open new level of skill that can be mastered by players.

part of this is already implemented in crpg

I really like the crouching thing it could spice this mod up alot. If it uncrouches when you move it would be good. Could be good for infantry trying to take cover from archer fire. It could also make people rage more about how archers are popping in and out while shooting, but they already do that by backing up anyways.
That crossbow reload animation is awesome. Please add it.
