Title: Auto-Forfeit?

Saw a guy in strat that looked like he would give me a pretty decent battle, but the minute I attacked him I lost all my troops and goods. I was aware that there was some kind of 1:3 rule in place that says you must have at least a third of your opponents troops to attack, so whats the issue here:

Did you show up for your battle?

You have to hire mercenaries to fight for you. As it shows, you didn't show up for your own battle, did anyone else not show?

Maybe I worded it wrong, but I just attacked him and not a minute later it showed up as a loss for me.

Also, it says I'm carrying more crates than what I originally had now even though I lost all my goods.

Is server lag the most likely culprit?
