Title: Do loomed items get a bonus to secondary mode?
Post by: WITCHCRAFT on February 07, 2013, 08:55:06 am
I was wondering if secondary (such as the blunt mode on poleaxes and melee on throwing weapons) gain a bonus in damage or speed from being heirloomed.

Specifically, Do Masterwork rocks gain a damage bonus in melee mode?

Yes, they do. But the only way to see actual numbers is to see a loomed item ingame.

I don't know for sure, but I bet rocks get +4 blunt in melee mode at +3. Heavy throwing axes get +4 cut in both throwing and melee mode at +3. I use the melee mode of my +3 Heavy Throwing axes frequently, and it's really good.

Rocks have a melee mode? That's awesome.

I always thought it was punching with a rock in your fist, not using the rock like a knife. But I guess that makes more sense. Maybe.

Rocks in melee mode have 1h animation, not punching.
