I'm going to assume this is a bug and post my complaint here. While purchasing new armor, instead of giving me the helmet I purchased, it takes my money and gives me jack shit. I did this with the flat-topped helmet and the light strange war mask. Both times my money is taken and I have no new helmet. I've wasted 3000 gold doing this and it's pretty annoying, so if I could recieve any assistance on this, I would be very appreciative.

Got this with a shortened scythe just now.

I got different effects:
1. I bought a war cleaver... gold lost, no war cleaver in inventory
2. I bought a Shortened Military Scythe... no gold lost, no scythe in inventory

I also tried to buy Military Scythe and same result. Not in inventory.
So it seems reprodudable.

Purchased a Heavy strange helmet, didn't show up in inventory. Tried to buy it again and it wouldn't take my money.

I just paid for my axe and didn't get the axe but it stole my money  :cry:
