Now we have something strange instead of jumpshots. With a drawn bow you jump and fall down almost in the same place.
I suggest to remove jumpshots totally and let us (i mean archers) to jump.
You know how to make it, because you done it before. I would like to have a situation like this: I have my bow drawn, but when i press button for jumping i jump and my attack is canceled.

or... you know... don't fuck up archery further and bring back jumpshots for everything.

Usually I don't make ignorant posts, but why don't you simply stop pressing jump when having the bow drawn?
And I totally agree to the developers that jumpshots need to be removed. It looks stupid and has no game play reasoning.
Though, on the other hand again, I do agree that archers got overnerfed, but unless the devs won't change battle mode there is no alternative, I fear. As soon as conquest is implemented I am the first one to support a check if archers should get higher damage/precision/missile speed/running speed/shooting rate.

Yes. Crappy damage, crappy missile speed, crappy shooting rate, high WPF requirement for good precision. The class is nerfed too much to produce the maximum amount of entertainment it is able to, but as things currently are, with battle mode still being round based team death match, we don't have another choice. So it is good that the bad decision of nerfing them was made. (To better understand that paradox statement: I want battle mode changed, and I think a reasonable change would allow the devs to buff archers again. And cav, too, btw.)

Missile speed was overnerfed, I agree
Accuracy got overnered, I agree.
Shooting rate needed a nerf compared to the machinegun archers in native.
The damage is not crappy, not at all.

Damage isn't crappy, problem is that 80% of the server has 60+ body armor and 70 HP on average so it takes more than few arrows to kill them. I play in regular armor set, have 44 body armor and die to 2 arrows in body on average.

Well, okay, we can argue about certain values, I am bad at that, but I hope you still get the basic idea. I just mentioned the damage due to the lower body damage and higher headshot damage, as I assumed most shots would still hit the body.

Problem is that certain archers want to be heroes, like 2H. But they are support. Also when they multiply, they are stronger than anything else in this mod.
I'm also support, alwpiker. I don't expect to do heroic stuff because my weapon has so many limits but also some strengths (actually that one strength my weapon has is the same thing most greatswords have).

Just give back the normal "if you jump the shot is cancelled" thingy. The current "if you jump you detonate on the floor lol" is ridiculous.

And about these "I want it back" threads. Do archers think they are the only one who deserve something back? Hey, I use awlpike. I want roflcopter back, I want polestagger back, I want old length back (189 was before, now its 185), I want thrust block stun gone, I want being able to stab for full damage at close distance again, I want, I want, I want...
But you know, what? Those changes are there for a reason.

What kind of argument is that. Just because "your goal is life" is to play an ranged in cRPG doesn't mean devs should give you special attention.

Easy fix for "back to floor" glitch (if you're using WSE2, else no way to fix):
- open My Documents\Mount&Blade Warband\cRPG\module_config.ini
- add the following text and save:
[Battle]
bNoAttackingWhileJumpingRanged=true
bNoAttackingWhileJumpingThrowing=true
bNoJumpingWhileAttackingRanged=true
bNoJumpingWhileAttackingThrowing=true
I'll make the client do that by itself in the next version.

Lower Archer Damage, increase accuracy, increase missile speed. Put more focus on skill and less on luck.
That would be cool.

This topic was made for fixing problem with glitched jumpshots, and cmp gave option with no jumps when bow is drawn (i checked it and it looks ok), so there won't be any jumpshots after next path.
What can i tell about archery and it's statistics that archery are ok now. For archery there always will be a lot of luck.
You can't lower dmg, because now i can see lots of ppl running around with an arrow in their heads.
There are also players that can survive headshots from +3 longbow and +3 bodkins from low range.
Using arrows with cut dmg is silly solution on eu1, because tons of ppl are using heavy armour all the time.
