Title: Unusual 'Lag Spikes'?

For a few days now I have been having these odd 'lag spikes' where my ping does not raise/keep full connection on teamspeak but my chats do not show up untill after the around 7 second lagspike.
It feels like I am rubberbanding in the same position while my character isn't actually moving although when it gets back to normal I teleport to wherever they game says I am after the 'lag spike' has occured.
This is a real problem since I must have ran off the castle wall like 5 times in my last strat battle.
I don't think this is an internet related lag spike because my ping does not increase like it usually does with a lag spike and it lasts alot longer than a real lag spike.
