Title: Third party program restrictions?
Post by: Commodore_Axephante on February 02, 2013, 08:36:10 am
Hey all,

Didn't see anything in the rules about this, but I wanted to check. Are there any kind of restrictions on what other programs you can use when CRPGing?

To be specific, I was hoping to use one of those hotkey programs or whatever to see if I couldn't get a single button to do the battlecry. Or maybe even link it so I do a battlecry every time I jump or kick, or something epic like that.

Is that ok around here? Would I somehow get all detected and banified?

Thanks in advance, for anyone who knows.

As retarded as it is, yes. Without macros the world would be better, no more backpeddel + spam polefaxe.

Uhh, how do macros come into play there? You just hold backward and mash attack, no?

I guess I'm not insidiously creative enough to really see how macros could be used to create an unfair advantage in a game like this. But then again, I never was a good cheater.

Macro can only be useful with very fast weapons, with which you can feint faster than a human can reasonably sustain.

If you try Alt+X or Alt+F4 manually you will notice that those are disabled in the new client ;)
