Maybe the market threads would be a better place for this, but you Beginner's Help people have been so good to me...
What's a fair price for a +3 Long War Axe? I can't find any listed examples of previous trades in the forums. If I want to pick up one of these (without looming it myself), what kind of resources will I need to amass?
Thanks.

Either 2 Heirloom points + about 75.000 gold or 1.000.000 gold should be enough.
-
How much do you have? :)
-
Not enough, but I'm planning on winning a certain poetry contest with a hefty grand prize :D.
Vibe, where did you get those stats? Also, are those the numbers things actually went for?

Those #s are pretty useless cuz it only counts pure gold transactions. Most trades now happen with loompoints + gold.
Since the price cap on a +3 is obviously 3 loompoints (or 1,425,000 gold at current prices), Most +3 items can be purchased with 2 loompoints + between 50k - 300,000k gold. Current loom point price is 475k so substitute that much gold into bid instead of an heirloom if you are sitting on gold instead.
If I were you I would put out a bid at 2 points + 100-300k (or 1,050,000 - 1,250,000) for the axe, the price spread will depend on how rich, cheap or patient you are.

Great long axe, for whatever reason, can be acquired for much cheaper. About 2 loom points and you're good to go!

Yeah, can't see why it isn't more popular. It's great. Says so in the name. But, my gain, I guess.
Edit: Crap, OP was about the Long War Axe. That doesn't have great in the name. No wonder!
