Title: I Have been playing on an 6str-11ath thrower character recently......

I Have been playing on an 6str-11ath thrower character recently.

Its a really great build and a lot of fun but I always find myself being too slow with 4 stacks of war darts.
I drop 2 stacks at the start of the round and come back and get them.

So do any other archers or throwers do this to avoid the ridiculous weight of arrows and some projectiles. It seems that 7~ weight has the same effect as about 3-4ath.

Inb4 melees skill one powerdraw just to equip a shortbow to steal arrows that has been dropped at spawn.

Clever non the less, but dont these things despawn after some time ?

I sometimes drop 1 quiver in order to be mobile and come back pick it up later. Especially in strat.

Dont know any xbowers on foot that use 2 stacks of bolts. I use only 1 and only in very rare cases I run out of ammo.

I carry siege shields sometimes because they're pretty useful and I have 2 slots free anyway. 25 weight makes them really heavy, so even though I have 8 athletics and light gear I'm still slower than most people when carrying one.

If I get into a dangerous situation I just lose the shield so that I can maneuver better or escape. I've even ditched my weapon before. In my mind it's like dropping ballast.

Someone might steal your stuff before you can come back for it, but that's better than dying with a bunch of extra ammo isn't it? Especially since you can also find another weapon or more ammo later if you run out.
