Title: Retired Character Not Showing Up Ingame

I just recently retired my character and renamed him. but I can not access the new Gen 2 Character ingame. I can see the character on the website and buy items and equip them to him, as well as the old character who is now a level 1, with newbie gear and 100 gold.
I have restarted my game client multiple times to no avail, any help would be appreciated!

You changed the name. ;) Then you gotta change the name ingame as well (just edit character).

By logging in with the same nick again, you simply create a new character with the old nick as it isn't taken.
