Title: Mouse
Post by: Umbra on January 25, 2013, 04:15:17 pm
I am so fucking tired of trying to find out which mouse is actualy worth anything from the low price range. Does anyone have a recommendation for a up to 30$ laser mouse with reasonably good dpi?
I broke mine, it fell and it died

Also recently bought a4tech oscar x748 but I wouldn;t recomend it, it's a bit too high, button under thumb is too high (I use it as free look) so it's just laying in the box.
He broke the right mouse button after playing shielder for 1 gen.
Actualy my scroll is broken and now i cant see myself at the bottom of the scoreboard, its frustrating

I'm afraid there isn't such a thing as decent mouse that costs 30$.
Bought two in last 4 years, both are crap. Still using 10 year old wireless MS mouse with wonky buttons and 800 dpi.

Buttons are the most important part, everything else is irrelevant. Also if it has rubber surface make sure it doesn't stink after 5 minutes of holding the damn thing...

I got a Razer Abyssus as I use my mouse left handed ( ambi-dextrous mouse ) which cost me about £30 or less, so I imagine $40-50, didn't want anything major but I thought I'd try out a Razer mouse and I can say it's really nice to use, I thought it could have just been the Razer hype but it is a solid product that works well and looks nice on your desktop whilst doing so. I can also change the DPI on my mouse on the fly with a switch underneath it. I wish the mouse wheel had a little more resistance and perhaps had more than the normal 3 buttons but regardless it has been serving me very nicely. Perhaps for probably $15 more you could get an even better one.
If you are not interested in Razer then get an intelli mouse, they're good enough.

I use a R.A.T. 5. Solid construction, adjustable to fit your hand, weight adjustable, thumb wheel, braided cord, adjustable up to 5600 dpi on the fly, 6 programmable buttons with a 3 mode switch that gives you a total of 18 and a precision aim button on the mouse. Yes, it looks like a transformer, but this is the most comfortable, reliable, and solid mouse I've ever owned. If I get a new mouse, it will be the same one or a R.A.T. 7. If you really want to stay at $50 or less, you can find the R.A.T 3 for that range without the thumb wheel, precision aim, or adjustable size and weights, and it gets 3500 dpi. Still has a braided cable and solid construction. http://www.cyborggaming.com/prod/rat3.htm (http://www.cyborggaming.com/prod/rat3.htm) visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Got this one myself last year:http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B002Q7ED6W/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=computers (http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B002Q7ED6W/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=computers)
Before that I got an, even more expensive, Roccat Kova+, which was shit.
This one is the best I had so far.

Why does it have to be laser? Optical generally have better sensors imo.
Anyway I would recommend G400 (optical)

There can be only one ...
Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 visitors can't see pics , please register or login
Svašta sam imao, miševa od 60 do 100 eura, al poslije Explorera 3.0 - već godinama ništa drugo ne dolazi u obzir. Možeš ga lako naći preko ebaya ili amazona.

I am using A4tech X7, quite good fitting to hand, rubber cover so you dont slip, just enuff buttons, one click change of resolution, adjustable weight, and quite cheap actually, like 15 euros here?
The cover doesnt smell after playing, but if you got your hand on it for like 12-16 straight hours you get pinkish

Death Adder, 3500 dpi.
It's a beast and pretty cheap as there are better/newer versions out by razer.

So i bought a mouse: LC-Power m1000 operator 5K
I was searching through some local webshop when i noticed this mouse, it had a multitude of features that you would expect from high end mouses yet it was only 35$. I thought to myself: there must be some catch, i re-read the features, looked at the design again and thought, well fuck it, ill bite.
So here is my review of the mouse:
The specs:
(click to show/hide)
7-button mouse with wheel Resolution adjustable (400 / 1600 / 3500 / 5000 dpi) Plug and Play with USB connector additional functions can be set to obtain short-cut key operations thanks to the included software incl. four weights for custom haptics OS support: Windows 2000 / XP / Vista / 7 Dimension: 125 x 75 x 43 mm Weight mouse: 167 g (without additional weights) Cable length: 1,90 m Cursor positioning - 1000Hz record rate
It came in a neatly packed box, with 4 weights, the usb cable and a cd with the software. I was suprised how well it was designed and how sturdy the mouse and the cable looked. The dpi is ajustable with the button near the scroll, different light signals different dpi levels. There are also 4 side buttons which is nice. The scroll button is easy to operate, no problems there.
All the buttons are fully programable and macros and profiles for different games can be made.
Overall i was pleasantly suprised how good the mouse was for the price i paid, i would say i got a lot of bang for my buck. Only reason why i wont give it 5/5 is because the mouse itself is a little narrow for my taste and the clicks are kinda loud. So 4/5 and i would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a good gaming mouse on a budget.
