Is it allowed to use consites to reach places in a faster way then normal?

Afaik it has been discussed but no official stance emerged ?

It completely breaks some maps in favor of the attackers though.

The path to the flag is simply too short

Does it make the map undefendable?
If thats so i agree that it sould be prohibited, this was a good and balanced map. Afaik

tbh its a pretty shitty siege map.  I don't enjoy it as either attackers or defenders.

Well i got some more examples of siege maps, ill make some screens next time i play on them. Would be good to know if its a valid tactic to help your team, or an exploit  :P

i like it, as a defender when the gate gets opened i always go commando up the siege tower to try and close it again. I also like the openness of the inside, good fights there. :)

Dosent relly matter if you do that, you will get stuck under the roof and cant go down to the flag

no this isnt true i think. we did it with HRE and it worked i believe (didnt go there myself because i had a problem with the banner and was in the opposite team)
imo there is no reason why this woulndt be allowed, its a tactic that needs coordination and teamwork and disallowing that would be retarded (this costs money, takes 3 slots and you need to be quick)
this is not like in battle where you are camping a unreachable roof, its your only way to be able to push to the flag once you got on top of that (otherwise you have to go all the way around)

Tactics and team work? one guy throws a construction site down and jumps the wall, everyone else there see's and copies him because they realise they can get to the flag with out having to walk past the defenders spawn (on that map) and it was all done with out a letter being typed in chat...

no, its not that easy
may, i know what your in-game name is?

Defenders can just put their own con site right in front of the "stairs" and block it back off again. Either side can break either construction site.

Not that I've ever seen anyone counter a construction site with another construction site. Just saying that you could.

Shouldn't be allowed in my opinion.

Nord Hunter, I was on that map when HRE done it a month ago or so, it was pretty lame because it was dam hard to get everyone to realise people where jumping the wall and dodging our spawn so hardly anyone came until it was to late.

I'd allow it. Breaking construction sites is easy anyway, so defenders can just go up and destroy the damn thing if they can coordinate at all.

Well i have done it and the result was be stuck under the roof or jump down and lose 90% of your HP try it and see 4 your self. (It might work if you do it in some special way but i havent found it)

Like I said in the last thread about this, fix the map rather than make more unenforceable rules. Unless I'm wrong, this is the only map with this particular problem.

Indeed. Auto QMD every time I play it. I don't know why that laggy and shitty maps are still on the server. Best maps native maps for ever.

You wrong :)

There are 3 shortcuts you can make in this map:

(click to show/hide)

I think it's pretty silly map design up there anyway. The guys that open the gate, which is a very commendable effort, get rewarded by having to jump down for 80% hp loss, or go back out through the siege tower and then back in using the gate. Unless I am missing something, which is very well possible because I can rarely be arsed to go up there in the first place.

Nah, the last map is cool on that. you can jump down by roofs across the ally, and there are plenty of stairways down :P

But by using 2 consites you can get to flag twice as fast :P
