The only one i know that used full time 1st person is DaveUKR... Also he used reversed Y, terrible
-
The one thing first person would need is the camera being further back, with that it would be like 99% better.

Use 3rd person and move the camera in and it is like 1st person with the camera moved back. It is already in game. Just use the + and - keys (and I think they updated so they can be mapped to different keys now)

There is a huge difference between that and what I asked.

I love playing first person when I'm lancer cavalry (so much easier to judge the location for the tip of your lance) the down fall is that you can't see around you as easily. I try to keep my head on a swivel, but going out to 3rd person is ideal when I'm not going to be stabbing any time soon.
That and when I am using a ranged weapon (except on horseback) is the only time I go 1st person.

With WSE you can adjust your FOV, incresing it generally does exactly what you want - it moves the camera back.

Use first person 99% of the time with ranged. Dont like it when I'm in melee. Although I also used it sometimes when playing lance cav.
With the wider FoV in WSE2 the screen looks kinda weird and its harder for me to guess distances...

yeah even if I bump up the FOV to 85 it's hard as fuck for me to judge the distance, it just looks fucked up (even after playing with it for an hour it was a lot harder to judge distance than at default). I honestly think it's borked because when I changed my FOV back to 75 it still looked "wall-eyed" like I was looking through a telescope lens.
