Personally I would prefer if leaders choice themselves what the different ranks could do. Want everyone to be able to accept members? Set that for rank 1. Want only rank 10 to be able to accept new? Set that for rank 10.

Instead of "rank x", there could be some kind of titles(like in military - sergeant, etc.) (not really too important, but kind of nice) <--- that only works if your clan follows those kind of ranks. what if your a viking clan etc :P
