Title: Failed retiring?

I just retired at lvl 31 at gen 4, character page still shows me as gen 4 and the heirloom item I chose didn't get loomed. My character's level and stats got reset though, I'm getting 1090 exp per tick, not sure what the new formula is.
Please tell me retiring is just delayed? Please tell me I didn't just waste an entire gen? Pleaseeee

maybe item database is just frozen? :S i hope
