Just wondering if anyone else is getting a bad frame hit from the latest patch, I noticed 20-30 fps drop which is really making my game stutter, and i can't figure out why.
Anyways, let me know if you've noticed something similar!

It might be vertical sync, which I believe should now be working properly in the latest patch (haven't tried myself just yet). Basically, if vsync is on, it makes for a better image with no screen tearing, but it'll hurt your fps. So if you check in the options and that's ticked on currently, try turning it off and see if it helps. Just a preliminary guess!
-edit-
Oh, just read other threads and maybe it had something to do with the 'white text' thing that is now fixed.
-
ah ok i do recall the white text -- and thanks for the suggestion, vsync was the first thing i looked for :)
-
Oh i was seeing that white text about ladder errors, etc...
Sounds like that was fixed?
-
seems like it~

Not fixed for me, even when I don't use wse2 i get lag now. Before all this seeing my frames under 60 (60 was my limit) was as rare as seeing the Loch Ness monster fucking a Sasquatch.

I am also feeling quite considerable drops in fps since the last patches. Where as previously I pretty much never went under 100fps on 40 players now it drops nearly always to around 60 when facing many(~20) players. I know it should drop that low when the server is 120+ or so. Feels quite choppy now. Would be nice to know if any settings were reseted in patches or anything that could cause that.
09.01.48
- fixed controls with several keys not saving properly
- fixed visual glitches when both depth effects and MSAA enabled
- removed animation quality setting (misleading)
- capped maximum frame rate at 120 (can be circumvented by editing config file manually - not recommended)
Where can I change the max fps? Couldn't find it. I know 120 should be more than enough but can't really think anything else that has changed.
-
i'm also getting more lags now and i see my average frames have gone from ~100 to ~60.

That's vsync probably

I had a weird thing in my game: Whenever I capped my fps at 120 I would have lags and about 40 fps average. If I then changed my cap to 60 fps it would maintain a rock hard 60 fps until the end of mankind.

the patch yesterday seems to have fixed it for me :)
