A long time ago i had this idea that i think was well recieved. You told me to bump it so.. even though its been 3 or so months i did
The idea involved strategus and castles
Quick explaination for those of short attention spans
1. Create a system that facilitates owners of certain castles in strategus can edit their castle's for a price
2. When the owners of a certain castle edit their map they first submit it to a board of developers that determine the map's price
So if you have a moat around your castle, an extra 20000 gold. If its on a big hill, cough up some money.
If it's just a wooden tower surrounded by pools of lava on top of a moutain.. then it gets rejected for being rediculously unfair beyond the means of money

This would be extremely good if it was done the right way. But It can be semi-abused in too many ways. If the team for moderating this accepts something just slightly borderline, it's an open door to bigger abuses.

Only if they accepted the bigger abuses. If it's all up to an honest team, I like it.

any secret or borderline abuse i can almost be positive would result in swift action from chadz's delete character button mounted to the arm of his chair
effectively dropping all abusers into a tank of sharks with laser eyes

Damn those sharks. DAMN THEM.

I don't quite know if this would be a good idea with the whole admin approval thing. Seems like they'd approve only their allies improvements and what-not.. Unless the improvements were pre-defined.
