Alone in the clan's dojo, Munemori repeated the last sentence out loud. Death... Death would come to them soon enough. The old Shogunate was no more ; without Oda Ujin, clans had turned themselves against each other once more, and then... Gaijins arrived, with their metal armors, their crossbows and their barbaric ways. There was no honor left in these lands, and soon the name of their ancestors and the glory of the Torayama clan would be nothing but a memory...

Two men stepped out from a dark corner of the room, one was wearing black clothes, the other an haori with the Mon of the Torayama clan :
" - Well. There is a way to fight back, Munemori-sama. "
The old daimyo looked at him for a few moments without saying a word, the hand firmly holding the grip of his weapon. Finally, with a dark determination burning in his eyes, he spoke :
" - I'm listening, Satsujin-san.
- Well then, Munemori-sama, allow me to introduce you to Khorin-sama. "

We are a european clan, all members are french for now, but we won't be choosing members regarding of their nationality, so you all are welcome to join.
We play for fun, often recklessly.

We don't have an audio channel for now, maybe we'll have one later (On Mumble probably). For now, steam chat is usually enough.
And we'll probably play on Strategus too, when it's back.

You're welcome to join, if you want. Apply here, and add me on steam (My ID is "Makkhariel"). Use our banner ( E-2-5 ), and after a few battles together, you can rename your character "Torayama_yourname". Try to have a japanese name, but we can always discuss that if you wan't to keep your character name. Again, we are here to have fun.

We don't aim to steal members or anything from Shogunate, but to roleplay a small clan of bushido traditionnalists (and extremists : "the only way of the warrior is death" ... ) and play accordingly. I hope to play a lot with (or against, we'll see) them when Strategus will be online !

Well, I'll write more history about this imaginary clan to make it fit in this world, but it's from a small online game (now closed) inspired by the Legend of the Five Rings RPG we played with a few friends. The Torayama clan was the clan with the best sword masters, the most reckless warriors. They also were the most uptight samuraïs, always fighting wars one against five, following Bushido and the Emperor without question, even when it could have bad consequences. We ended up killing other "allied" samurais while fighting against shadowlands because they used a forbidden form of magic. It was against a common enemy, but was forbidden by the emperor, so we fought and killed them (quite a good example of the "uptight" part ^^ ). Our daimyo (clan leader) died killing the strongest of them, and after we burned his body with appropriate rites (while still fighting and protecting the pyre from shadowland creatures and corrupted samurais), we all killed ourseves throught the rite of sepukku (harakiri). Quite fun :P

We are joining the Shogunate.
We keep our clan structure, will follow Shogunate's rules, and enforce a few more (shields forbidden, for example) in our clan.
We will follow the Shogun with loyalty, yet, it will be our duty to remind him of our traditions if he would stray from the path of the Bushi.
