Title: Is WSE2 playable for you? (READ POST BEFORE YOU VOTE)

If you can play with WSE2 you should choose the first option (playable), regardless of whether the performance is better or worse than the old client. If you select the second and third options (not playable) it's assumed that you tried turning the graphics settings down to their lowest possible values.
You don't really need to specify a reason, for now I'm just interested in the numbers.

playable , just turned off some graphic options that i don't really care (like hardware experimental thing and weapon trails or so..) and works like a charm now.

Same here
Better graphics than normal i have a feeling that it is also smoother when you cap 60fps

I like the more detailled options with wse2, never had performance issues on the old one and wse2 is also running pretty smooth - the only thing is that horse movement/slashing/shooting on hillsides is pretty weird, but afaik that was a problem even before wse2

can't tell, my graphic card is broken and my internet download limit is about 0 since the new updater. I can compare.

I cannot even launch it, even though when it worked it was an enormous improvement performance wise. As I am supposed to vote regardless of that it should be a no I guess.

I have a very powerful computer; I can run all games I've ever played; Skyrim, Crysis, etc. on maximum graphics with significantly better performance than WSE2, what is going on?
I have very jerky animations and the FPS indicator is very wrong, I will be experiencing visual lag and it still says I am at over 200 fps.

i don't know why but without WSE2 i can play with DX9 but with WSE2 even on lowest graphics i still get 70-90 fps (and HDR turned off)

I used to run the game on dx7 because it was faster and smoother,but with WSE2 I can run it maxed out on dx9,but maintain the smoothness and game speed of dx7.

I also have to say that I launched other mods with WSE2 (1257 ad) and the loading time was decreased A LOT.

To sum it up,WSE2 is one of the best things ever happened to MnB.

There are some issues with framerate and animations.  I had the same problem, capped my FPS at 50 on someone's recommendation and everything is smooth as ever.

its not just performance I get invisible textures on wse2, I will vote playable since thats what you want. but playable would not be my personal choice of words.

edit: also really bad screen tearing

Define 'playable'

I get strange stutters when playing with WSE which can lead to my death ingame. Still voted playable because they're pretty rare.

Hmm, I might try this, thanks.
Also, when I encounter fog; FPS is reduced by a set amount and the indication is wrong. I had my FPS capped at 100 and it was reduced to 80 and experiencing heavy lag, cap at 250 and it was reduced to around 230-220. Please explain?

The performance is fine 99% of the time it's just those stutters....

btw: I've been playing with WSE2 turned on today after since it's been released more or less just to see if it's an alternative to my regular cRPG and because of this thread. Well I'm not gonna use it again any time near soon because my dx9 cRPG is the same exact thing but without those stutters which are NOT lags.
So yeah, technically it's 'unplayable'.

Never get any issues with WSE2, I can run it on max settings and with insane amounts of corpses and ragdolls and I still have a way better framerate than I ever did before.

tick experimental framerate lagg thingy, wse2 improved everything alot for me but with that unticked its like it stack all the frames the first part of the second and no frames in the rest.

We hope to be able to break compatibility with the old client soon. That way, we can more easily add new features that wouldn't be possible with the old client.

It greatly improved my performance when I had a "regular" (few years old) video card. That one died and I'm currently on a backup 7300GT that chokes to death on WSE2 even at the lowest settings.

Remove the older script extenders! Develop new cool things for CRPG! Force me to actually buy a new video card!  :D

Unfortunately there are a number of users who, including myself, can no longer launch cRPG in WSE2 due to some weird sort of compatibility issues.

However when it DID work I really liked what you all changed and thought it was a phenomenally big step.

Playable, but stutters very frequently and constantly so even though fps is generally better, it is harder to play.

It runs fine (feels more "smooth" than normal dx9) but I have constant screen tearing in the lower third of my monitor which sucks alot/looks aweful and makes it kinda unplayable...maybe its resolution dependent (I use "Desktop resolution", which is at 1920x1080)?

I can run it , I run it on DX7 and lowest graphics possible though. 120 steady fps and not a single lag or freeze at all .

140 players on sunday, not a single lag even at spawn watching the army rushing for blood, it was beautiful.

Works great for me.  I also noticed the game does not crash any more when I alt tab.  Sometimes it would.

It's playable but performance isn't as great as it was 3 weeks ago. Maybe cuz of this white siege text spam or maybe cuz I was ticking off the wrong graphic options?

When using WSE2, why do certain helmet types (usually those with face-plates) get so visually messed up? When I turn WSE2 off, the helmet meshes revert back to normal and look much better.  What gives?? I realize it's a minor issue but it still annoys me  :rolleyes:

very playable, exept when i get these authorization errors so i cant connect to the servers, but then that also happens without WSE2, i hope this gets fixed soon  :oops:

wse 2 is playable for me after spent 20 min to config option in low ( pretty similar at when i was in wse 1 )

but the bigest problem is night are too dark and snow map make me blind it's rly rly rly to shiny
for an archer it's a problem ....

Only problem I've encountered so far. Otherwise works very smoothly and I'm able to play better in fully crowded servers and strategus matches.
