Ive been playing Mount & Blade since its early beta form, many moons ago. I love building armies and sending my hordes forth to do mass destruction. When I discovered Crpg, I thought it was AWESOME (I still think that), and I was particularly interested in the strategus part of this mod. I would very much like to get started on building my own crpg empire, yet before I can do that....I need to know how. I have found plenty of info on this site on what to do to succeed while playing strategus, I cannot seem to find ANY information on how to actually BEGIN strategus. Im sure I have over looked some important detail, but I am hoping that some one wiser than I can point me in the right direction....
1. How do I set up strategus?
2. Where is strategus? What Link to I use to get to it?
3. Do I use my main character? Do I need to start a new one?
4. Do I somehow buy a fief with my crpg earnings? How & where?
5. Do I need to join or set up my own clan first?
If someone can assist me with these first few questions and help me get on the road to setting this up, I would certainly appreciate the help.

1. How do I set up strategus?
Until 6th January not possible because its stopped during Christmas Holydays. After that you just need to get onto the strategus website. (= http://strategus.c-rpg.net/) and it creates your char automatically.

You're using your main character.
4. Do I somehow buy a fief with my crpg earnings? How & where?
No, at least not directly, some players may want to sell there stuff for crpg Gold, otherwise, you need to earn everything in strategus yourself.
For example, recruiting troops costs you tickets, you get tickets while playing with your chars (not sure if its main char only or all chars right now), with these tickets you can recruit troops in Strategus.
5. Do I need to join or set up my own clan first?
You don't need to, and setting up a new clan unless you have some members isnt really useful at the state Strategus is in at the moment. Best would be if you would join one of the existing clans.

CS, Thanks for the response man, awesome and I cant wait for the 6th! In the mean time Ill be doing some heavy reading in the strategus forums so I can hit the ground running. Thanks again!

It was a joke because they still have outdated information about old strategus mechanics stickied. The only way you'll learn how to play and not get destroyed by people abusing bugs is to join a clan. Each clan hoards knowledge of how to play because the only way to win is through sheer numbers or exploiting.

The only way to win is through deploying forces in a strategic manner or/and using proven battlefield tactics.
