Okey here's my cpu (if I forget something let me know and I'll add it):
Windows 7 Ultimate
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor 3.41 GHz
64bit
8,00 Gt of RAM
Graphics card:
Asus AMD Radeon HD 7870 (DirectCUII), 2 GB, DDR5
The game is over all WAY MORE laggier with WSE2 (with exactly the same settings) than without WSE2.
I've also experienced random fps drops lately, even without using WSE2.
I don't have animation lag anymore, a big plus for repairing that.

different hardware same opinion here

Try setting the in game fps limiter to 60. Unless your fps is constantly lower than that anyway. I find it impossible to believe it can be laggy for anyone now with the crazy improvement in optimization, and with the customization levels possible everyone should be able to run the game smooth as sauce.
-
i have diff. specs, but enuff to run this shit without any problems, but recently yeah, i am experiencing fps drops suddenly, when i lets say approach a big group of people my fps goes down quite a lot, i tried reducing some settings but did not see much difference

Yes I tried it and in general I had a little more better fps, but again some fps drops. And I shouldn't need to run the game with 60fps, it has worked before with 120fps.

965 is pretty buggy with warband, I used to possess one of those. Try to mix with "Reduce CPU usage" and also start activity manager and uncheck all four cores of warband, then check them all again.

Didn't help. And once again, I have only rarely experienced fps drops before.

I've heard dropping it all the way down to 30 helps but that was with the weird animations. Though I agree, if it ran at 120 before, it would be nice to maintain that.
There's some minute setting thats bogging people down somewhere. WSE2 doesn't even work for me atm, haha. I should probably get on fixing that with a fresh install, but the game functions. I was running the game on a Pentium D last october, so I knew how horrible the fps drops and random hiccups could be. Hope the kinks get worked out, but its improving day by day. Last working build of WSE2 I tried was when the settings would default every time, and that was fixed in a short time.

Often when I hear this from people, they have load textures on demand checked.

first vesion of wse2 was the best. after that it gets worse by every patch.
-
Havent noticed anything.

I get better ping, better fps, faster connecting to server, the game loads faster.
So im just hoping this keeps up xD

A very intelligent comment

Expecting one is equally intelligent.

Usually I read the message before the name of the poster. Bad habit.
-
Oh, I just meant in general, I don't know the poster personally. I read the same way though, but I can see why it may be different for someone with prior knowledge/judgement on specific individuals, instead of the community as a whole. :P

For the animation lag I cranked down the animation quality thing to medium (haven't tried low yet) and it fixed it for me.

I tried all the qualities for animation, no difference.
-
I totally agree with that, but my laggs are by "waves".
I've some "master laggs" at moments.
-
I had an extreme fps drop today for plus minus 10-15 minutes, it was horrible, stutter etc and all the crap, went for a smoke came back and it was gone.
Wasnt my connection but it sure was weird.

Strange but I seem to be the only one getting finer performance with wse2 when I also limit fps to 60. I mean maxing out antialiasing in the unscripted version gave me random fps drops but I don't experience that with wse2 now. The overall performace seems to be better, if not a lot. And here is my rig, quite similar to wiltzu's actually:
AMD phenom 2 x6 1100 BE,
radeon hd 6950 2gb ddr5,
8 gb ddr3 ram
and running on win 7 64 bit.

no, you are not the only one. But why should everyone happy with WSE2 bother posting here again? Performance is a LOT better for me and apparently many others, but that doesn't help these guys in this thread...
-
I converse about this with others ingame but have not really seen anyone sharing the same opinions with me. So I thought I might as well add a reply. Not trying to show off with my now mid-class system or anything as you might believe.
-
uhm, reading my post again it sounds a lot more harsh than intended. Just wanted to say something like WSE2 is best ever and poor guys for whom it's not.

I agree something changed with the latest patch. I was having no issues and now all of a sudden I am warping all over the place. Ping stays consistant at 36 but it is playing like I am 350 ping. Very strange. Up to this point I have had nice success with wse. I turned it off and I am playing fine again
