Title: iPhone Question
Post by: Miley on December 23, 2012, 08:29:40 am
I got an iPhone, I plugged it into my computer, and the normal Removable Device menu popped up giving me the option to import pictures, files, etc. I downloaded iTunes, made and account, and put it on my iPhone.

If I want to get pictures and stuff from my computer, I have to sync whole folders from my computer, which I hate. Whenever I plug in the iPhone to my computer, the Removable Device doesn't pop up anymore, and it doesn't show up on "Computer." iTunes shows the phone though. I uninstalled iTunes, hoping that the Removable Device would start showing up again (it didn't). So now I had to install iTunes again...

Does anyone know how I can get it back so that the menu that looks like
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

pops up?

Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\auto play\change default settings for media or device

Apple iPhone             Ask me every time

That's what it's on... but I plug it in and nothing, just iTunes.

Well you have a crapple product, what can I tell you?  :P

Try this then:

Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs\Set Default Programs\Set Program Associations

Change Itunes not to open anything. One area has you choose a program, you want the one with the checkboxes so you can uncheck the extensions. You need "choose defaults for this program".

Yea, if you get an Iphone, its also wise to get a Mac to make syncing work better, than you get addicted and have to get an Ipad and........FFS just get an Android.....avoid that new Nokia shit thou, Windows Phone is a pathetic excuse for a SmartPhone OS.

Edit: Okay okay, the new Lumina aint half that bad......

Sounds like it is the device then and not Windows. You'll have to hit up the iPhone boards, I don't support Apple  :P

Pretty sure you cant copy anything else other than the pictures outside of iTunes.
I have no idea how it works on jailbraked iPhones, though.

When was the last time you planted or tended a garden? You don't need an employer. Nature will happily give you food in return for doing that job.
