Trying to sell some goods, could'nt sell them, tried checking the TC and appear to have lost them? Tried to look on forums for answer but I must be dumb. Have I lost them for nothing? Can I reclaim them? If not I think my brief and utterly depressing sojurn into Strategus is over.

I'm a strategus jackass, more or less, but I can shed some light on your situation regardless. What TC stands for is towncenter; by checking that box I believe you've put your goods up for sale in the towncenter interface...never having used that shit, I don't know how the fuck it works.
It is likely that you were unable to sell your goods because there was not enough supply and demand in the fief, as well.
-
When you click the TC box, it puts the goods up on the market for the price you'd get selling them in the fief (unless you changed the number in the box) and then adds the current tax rate of the fief to the cost for people buying the goods back off the TC.
So if a village had a tax rate of 10% and you put a good up for 100 gold it would cost someone buying them back off the market 110 gold.

Thanks for the responses, think I understand now.
Cheers

Ok question.
If the items are put up on TC can you take them back down and sell normal?
If Items are on TC and DO NOT sell how and when do you get them back?
If Items are on TC and THEY DO SELL where and when do you get the money?
-
If you want to get your items back, you have to buy them, which gives the money to yourself, but of course you still have to pay the tax. So you have 100 swords on the market for 10 gold each with 10% tax, you buy them all and end up losing 100 gold.
As far as I know, nothing happens and items can be up on the Town Center indefinitely (this needs to change to a better system, because searching through the Town Center is cluttered with nonsense and -2 stones for 99999 gold )
If they do sell, I believe the money is instantly transferred to you.
