Title: add accents to q menu ^^
Post by: Sun_Jian on December 21, 2012, 01:36:48 am
hi

do u guys think itd would be good idea to add accents based on character nationality for things from the q menu? i think it would be pretty cool la

also i think it would be better too if you could not change your character appearance mid-gen as face lift surgery not exist back then ???

what u think?

It sounds like a nice idea, unfortunently we would need voice actors....alot of them

Unless you could voice your own character..... and THAT would be awesome.

you can voice your own character, easily. but offcourse it will not sound as good as the voices from the voice actors that the devs have hired (your own voice will never be like that)

Voice acting your own character, just think about it. It'd be like having Spook back, only with a voice

I'm assuming other players can't hear your personal war cries though?

No they won't because they won't have the sound files, they'll have to download them and install them on their local files.

I do like the idea, maybe at the very least have your characters voice depend on which type you choose, it'd be some effort to implement for a gimmick but it could be nice to add a little bit more immersion!

I believe the original voice actor for this was Merc_Shpongled who, if I remember correctly, has a lot of recording equipment as he does a lot of sound based stuff. Don't hold me to that but that's just off the top of my head.

I support this regardless but I think if it gets accepted, it'd be something on the back burner.
