Title: The end of BIRD CLAN?

The notorious hero_party, noted for their love of "big battles between similar sized factions" while simultaneously attacking factions a third their size, are on the march again.  And again they are invading a faction a third their size.  Just now a shiny 1k army is laying siege to the peaceful village of Dhibbain.  Another 1k army is marching towards Caraf castle.  Smoothrich has just been spotted in the distance with another 1k army.  He is currently hiding in the Occitan fief of Tilimsal, though it is unknown to BIRD CLAN if our neighbour is harbouring our enemy knowingly.  It is speculated a few more armies of the same size are also heading over from the other side of the desert.

BIRD CLAN is a small clan, but a proud clan.  We have only just recovered from the last invasion, done in a sickeningly opportunistic manner during a transitional phase where we were weakest and greatly outnumbered, by hero_party, who recruits people from cRPG to grind troops and gold for them in exchange for use of their heirlooms.  People who don't even play strat aside from breeding more soldiers to populate their machine of hate and bigotry.  Due to their unsavoury method of troop population they have massive amounts of troops they can throw at us.

I don't know if BIRD CLAN will make it through this invasion.  But we will fight to the end.  Hopefully decent battle times will be made and most of us will actually be able to fight.  The fiefs that hero_party take will still belong to BIRD CLAN, and will eventually be retaken, so keep that in mind as hero_party tries to cash out and flee:  the fiefs you buy are not theirs to sell and will not be yours to keep.

Lulz.  Seriously someone should just post FCC's list - it puts theirs to shame.  More importantly many items are not being used by anyone so you dont have to wait in line like their faction to be able to use the more popular items - just need to ask and you can use anything here.

Also, BIRD clan - stand strong - BIRD power shall always overcome the tyranny of the arrogant.

Everyone is rank 9+ so there is no waiting on line or asking anyone. Although common courtesy says dont take peoples looms when they are on. Unless they are your looms.

I don't know about weapons, but you had more/better armor than us, and Rohy didn't really pay any money for his army, it is all loot he has received from his battles!

is it possible the strat server is actually getting worse? before I used to get 20 mins or so relatively decent lag wise. this fight it started with shitty lag by the middle I stopped trying to use any footwork because just would not be able to move and swing at the same time.

Yeah me as well as some others on our team got lag too. Need better servers or fix em somehow.

Yeah dude it was AWFUL AWFUL today. From the start I couldn't do shit it's really stupid compared to when I play EU battles and how theres no lag at all.

The only heroes in Hero Party are the two hand heroes who bolster their front line, aged and worthy of battle from their history of war.  Unfortunately, that's the only way they've achieved the term "hero", as they are really villains in an already venomous world.  Calradia is plagued by evil, cowardice enemy who are too scared to attack those of equivalent size, instead they bring violence upon small, peaceful factions.

OH really?  I remember EU battles being the same thing 6 months or so ago...is there really a difference in server performance you can noticeably feel as a player?

According to cmp, the NA servers are just "too weak" to handle Strategus nowadays.  EU is unaffected.

A massive difference that isn't the Ping since i'm fine on NA1 with same amount of people.

On EU strategus server people only really get FPS lag on their computer from the amount of weapons and people on the server, but the lag on NA is related to the server FPS (which runs at 30fps during strat battles..) and not the client FPS or so Shik tells me anyway.

SEMENstorm_Goatflap has been spotted marching on BIRD LAND with 1346 shiny troops.  This is after Rohypnol has attacked with a 1k shiny army, Blackzilla is attacking with another 1k shiny army, and Smoothrich was last seen hiding in the Occitan fief New Tilimsal with his army of around 1200 shiny troops.  That is about 4500 shiny troops and this is still the early stage of the invasion.

hero_party has boasted that they will grind us down because there is no way we can match their troop and gold production.  With many of their members still unseen, but expected with similar numbers and gear, it would appear that this is true.  It is know that we are 1/3 of their size.  Our defences are dwindling.

But morale is high.  We are BIRD CLAN, we are proud.  We will go down swinging.

Peace and love will prevail because cartoons taught me that as a child.

Also, yeah, these wars are great xp and fun but we're going to run out of troops and gear soon and smoothrich yells at me if I accept help from outside sources so pretty soon it's going to suck for us when we're down to the last few guys giving it our all in peasant gear.  But that's war, I guess.  Small factions get destroyed by the large.
