So I think one of the big problems with cRPG is this disparity between the balanced build.
Balance wise beyond the high end of the str biased balanced build you should be getting very slow indeed. Up to this point you should be reasonably fast but with good damage output.
Same goes for agility, above the agility biased balance build mark you should become fragile and not hit so hard. You should still damage your opposition but hopefully be a little quicker than them.
Once you go beyond these marks the build should become less and less general purpose and you should be taking up specific roles on the battle field.
Right now this isn't the case. I would say that a "balanced" build right now is anything between 30 strength and 18 strength (based on in game practicalities). At 15 strength you could require upward of 6 hits to kill another "balanced build". At 3 ath you are quick enough to function well on the battle field.
I believe this general purpose build should start at 15 strength and end at 24 strength. For more min maxed builds 8 ath to 5 ath and 5PS to 8PS. Beyond this you should be saying i'm hard to kill but i'm struggling to use good footwork or I die quickly but I am capable of getting away from most opponents and can really tire my opponent out.
I don't want to make the majority of builds vanilla but increase the versatility of the general build and make more builds viable. The ideal effect that I can extrapolate is that build diversity might increase.

This is already the case. Strength builds are the abomination.

2hander MUST be slow, strong and heavily armed... all this cRPG things with different builds makes 2handers more... gay?
message to all agi whores:
spamming and fencing are not the same things.
damage between str and agi build is not realy much different. agi build makes this 2h hero more fast, so he can more easy hit and some feints makes huge speed bonus ... and it makes much more damage then high ps.
America is so... american...
I was on NA 3 yesterday, there was alot of people... well the top one had the score 24 1... actually that was just silly spammer with longsword who dont need to block... just spam spam spam...
devs should make more high requirement str for 2h swords.

I'd say over 27 in an attribute is hitting the "high" mark. 24/24 is the maximum "balanced" build obtainable (at level 35), so that's probably a good register. Personally I feel like any dedicated melee character who doesn't have equal to or greater than 18 Strength and Agility is being kind of a scumbag (looking at you, 27/12.. and you, 3/39).

Everything from 12/24 to 36/3 is viable. I think the strength/agility balance is pretty good. Although for raw statistics strength builds are a bit easier to play, but agility is more fun. I always end up with 21/21, cause it strikes the sweet spot between good damage and good speed even in heavy armor.
I don't really see any problems with the way it works now, all kinds of builds have certain advantages and I think builds are pretty diverse already.

It should be telling in NA when you're accused of high agility when you have 18 agi.
For the most part agi is not as good as str when it comes to pure gameplay since str allows more hp, damage and better armor. Agi gives only a movement boost.
Just seems a bit off. It doesn't mean agi is worthless but str just has so much going for it.

lol
if you wanna know tincans with super str build are useless... i know only 2 fine tincans - Butan and Scono.
better armor means more low wpf...
agi gives only movenments which can almost one hit anyone, just you have to do it right. and also all agi whores mostly have 18 str, sint it?and its enough for break any armor... sad but true

Strength builds know how to turn into a hit for speed bonus just as easily as an agility build. Except the strength build will 1 hit the agility build even without it. The agility build will never 1 hit the strength build even with a speed bonus except for the slight possibility with the headshot.

This isn't about str vs agility.
Its about shifting the balance to reduce the disparity between 15 and 24 strength.
I wouldnt bother going below 21 str for 1H or 18 str otherwise on the aus server
