Title: [Rules Discussion] 1.2) Ladderplacement
Post by: Haboe on December 19, 2012, 10:33:20 pm
1.2) Ladderplacement (think skyladders)

This poll is to decide what the community wants to see allowed.
If you disagree with both options, post here and i will consider a third poll option

Option 1: allow these ladders:
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Option 2: option 1 will not be allowed, use this principle:
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Anything that fails by this principle is not allowed. (because it defies gravity = unrealistic)

I voted Option 1, but I guess I should clarify that if it was coded in the game that the ladders would break/fall then I am all for it. However, It would be quite a hassle to to hear everyone complaining if it is or is not physically possible. Specifically ones that are rather close to being possible in real life.

Should have said it, off course meow's common sense rule applies here. It will ofc happen a lot that a ladder fails and end up slightly unrealistic.
But there is a clear line between failing a ladder with the result of it being slightly unrealistic, and massively using the mechanics of the ladders to your advantage.
If it ends up most of the community wants to be able to use the ladder the way option 1 described, that is how i will set it in the rules.

Posting this because i forgot to state meows rule in my post, but ill shut up now so i don't influence the poll any further

As others have pointed out in other threads, a ladder with one end on the ground and the other in the sky isn't what cRPG dev's have typically called "sky ladders".  Their definition of sky ladders was any ladder that was built on another ladder.

But to me, and common sense, a sky ladder is any ladder with nothing holding it up (besides Warband physics)

Changed it to ladder into the sky, better?

I could care less, I consider what you're talking about to be sky ladders, but some people will get caught up on the verbage

19 vs 20.

Undecided, discuss how we can get this settled.

the team with less admins are the ones in the wrong with any ladders (this applies to every rule)
