Hey guys, today I've got an inspiration, so good when I started to think about it, I almost died laughing.
Only problem is, to do it I would need nice video editing skills.
Things like overlaying scenes with text, well, basically it's a cRPG parody, so I want to remake it in real life, or in some other funny way.
Could you help me with some basics? x.x

what would you like to know? how to edit a video and make subs or smth?

I'd like to emulate our ingame chat for an example.

aye like these phrases on the siege servers: "TO FLAG! FLAAAG, YOU IDIOTS!!1!one-one" lol
"the backdoor is down, RUSH THROUGH IT FFS!!1!"
or screaming hoarse "Do we have an admin here?!" for about 1.5-2 hours
edit: would be really fun, but what exactly would you like to know about editing a video? how to cut, make special effects etc etc?
I mean emulating the chat.. is like making subs to the video or write a scenario which includes some of the most common phrases x)

I found myself a less-than-legal copy of sony vegas suite, and fraps. It took me a few hours to figure out how to use it, but after a long sleepless night I had my first fanboy vid! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dd7kGjcCVtM

One of the most popular and awesome video-edit progs is "Final Cut", but it's on Mac only.

Sony vegas pro for the beginner. It is simple and easy to use but it has all the pro features too when you start learning and want to advance. Youtube is filled with tutorials about it. I watched just few and knew the basics and started editing.

Yeah, Sony Vegas is an excellent program.
It is really easy to pick up as a first time user.
I wish more people would use the multi-track functions to MUTE THEIR VOICE COMMS.
