Why did he tell you he didn't have a helmet? Am I looking at 2 bans here?

Gromskull might have, intentionally or not, swung at Bone and Bone retaliated with an intentional teamwound (seemingly doing major damage to Gromskull).
Gromskull explained to him the severity of Bone's retaliation, and Bone replied with simply not giving a fuck, at which point Gromskull decided to even out the damage done by intentionally teamwounding Bone further.
Two bans sounds about right Grannpappy.

Yeah, I understand, we both deserved it. Sorry. What happened was I was watching the doorway and I didn't see the banner and hit him. He who was wearing full plate decided to swing back at me (not wearing a helmet) leaving me at about 10% health. I lashed out and should have controlled myself. Sorry.

Gromskull was angry all night last night and was retaliating to anyone who bumped or accidentally hit him. Seemed like he needed a nap.
