Title: commander skill

needs 3 str and agi so a build cant be totally gimped out to get high C-skill

person with highest commander gets the command in battle,  and can:

-write in  large red letters :D
-set flags around which the fighters get a multibonus of 1 to enforce his commands

command skill in strat gets the ability to:
-use squad flags
-?? any suggestions?

The hard thing is determining who exactly gets the Commander skill. How about it being something voted on by the community, then a dev can tinker with that players character a bit. Commanders really need to be people that the community want to follow rather than someone who just shouts the loudest or sets a particular build type.

Another way is making the skill extremely expensive in the market, so only people who want it the most (or whole clans) can sub the cost. Leveling up clans is another idea, like the ones that collectively win the most rounds (who could then designate 1 member as a commander). Thats tricky too, since its hard to determine if a clan simply has a lot of members or if they work well as a team

It would be nice if only clan members with a certain rank could assign battalion flags during a strat battle. Not that I've ever seen anyone troll by moving them around.

Maybe they could add an NPC auction for a battle standard? Small area of effect bonus (like +50 xp and 5 gold per tick) if you follow someone who buys martial status? You wouldn't lose anything by not following them, so it couldn't be abused. Auction pricing would probably prevent it from being a cop-out "pay to level" mechanism.

A crpg commander battle like in NW would be nice. You can equip your troops on your own and than fight each other

I'm pretty sure right now in a strat battle you have to either be the person who is commander of that army (attacker or defender) or be a certain rank in the clan (has to be 9 or 10 because at 8 I can't do it).

dont care how it will be implemented,  but a commander in battle mode would up the gaming experience for everyone!
