It's probably not, most people who respec regret it minutes after trying the new build.
So hopefully it was used to fix a build rather than trying something completely new.
Insane price though.

They need to do what I did and spend a solid 6 or so months making sure it was what I exactly wanted before respecing then  :lol:

I was so sure that i will get that fucking respec. I saved up 3m and had some backup-cash from the clan-bank, which i could just pay back later. I even stayed up until 5 in the morning to try to get the lowest price possible (If someone else had the idea to stay up, or NA was bidding on it, i didn't want to risk anything). So i bid the 3m i saved up and i wasn't the highest, robbed the clan-bank the first time, still no max bidder, robbed it again...and so on, until 4.2 fucking million.

Now my main remains archer and i have to fool around with my alt for another month ~_~
And Falka, fuck you man, that build is bs. Me mad. Me very mad.  :evil:

What was your max-bid anyway?

How do these things work? I've noticed it'll say things like Lezalit of Dhirim is providing the lessons, does that mean that you have to move your Strat toon to Dhirim to collect on it, or is it just for funsies?

Training lessons = "free" (the irony  :lol:) respec.

Atm given the evidence available to me offering one training lesson per month is a much better goldsink than the whole gold lottery thing.

Latest training lessons were sold for 4.2 mln, but one before that for 5 mln, so even higher.
Before patch, which destroyed lancers and archers builds, training lessons were worth about 2.5 - 3 mln. Now they are worth more, which perfectly makes sense.

I'm pretty sure training lessons will go for at least 4 mln in future, there are still plenty of people who want to change their class/build. And if you only think about that, it's not that much money for complete reskill (with one click, you can change your useless archer/lancer to mighty 2h hero!). You just need to sell 3 unused/rarely used +3 items to get those lessons, and I'm pretty sure most old players has some rarely used items in their inventory. I know all my friends do have them.

One thing I don't like about those lessons - why can't we change our names using them!? :(.
It's just partial service then, you can completely change your class, but you have to stay with your old name :(.

I never wrote I won that auction. And i'm not drunk, as far as I know.

I just think with those lessons you should also get free rename, since they costs ~10 loompoints nowadays.
So you can start all over again with different class and different name if you like to.

I haven't played my archer for 3 alt-gens now and sold all my archer-equip, plus i was hybrid anyway. But nevertheless, that build is crap. Works with 1h but 2h? you will hit like a girl.

Bleh, maybe i should really just retire, sell those 5 LP and just level to 34 again. I never actually wanted to do that, because 2m seemed quite reasonable for a respec, but 4m is just so much money...

if you want to change build so badly just respec you will be what lvl 34?

so you lose a shit ton of xp but your still a crazy high level with a solid build. Unless ofc the only thing you really care about is being lvl 35 :P

Well, there was an option to rethink the way you gonna go after reaching 31.
Archers've been constantly nerfed since I play.
Feels kinda crazy to retire, instead of fast respec.
I was thinking about buying respec since july, and without cash I ended up on the next level with build that I would have anyway with only 120 useless crossbow wpf(i'm not using xbow because I don't have any).
All those game changes (patches) are very predictable.

And also: are you having more fun from playing and grinding on high level, or going for 31 and retiring :)?
