Thankfully the developer team I am part of are creating that perfect game with true sandbox features, but thats way off yet from release. :)Sounds interesting, I always thought if someone implemented the generative landscape algorithms of Minecraft, the intuitive skill based combat system of Mount and Blade, the physics based contraption making of Little Big Planet, with the organised MMO community of EVE Online, we would have the game of all games.

Yeah we can all dream of that perfect MMO :)Don't burn yourself and make it too complicated. M&B is really simple but very deep, while a lot of complicated games are very shallow.
Thankfully I am the lead artist and my priority is to have a combat system like M&B with a few more combat moves etc.
Our aim is to have everything with the fluff being a very important factor. If we have all the fluff and a good combat and crafting system it will appeal to all play styles, which in my opinion is what other MMO companies succeed to lack in.
Anyway I won't derail this thread with that. :)
