hey guys,
does anybody know if its possible to implement a better block animation for stabs? the block can still be like it is now, but when the stab makes an impact with the weapon it looks stupid how it is now, maybe we could make the blocking weapon deflect the stabbing weapon by hitting it to the ground or to the sides?
i really have no idea if this is hard to code or not, but i think there must be a native mod that has better fighting animations.
thanks for reading,

I rather liked floris mod's animations, but the attacks wouldn't coalesce with the builds and such. Love the left block though.

There are some great custom attack/block animations out there, like the ones in floris as mentioned, but the problem is blocks need to be designed to "wait" for the incoming attack, meaning a held downblock will always sort of anticipate the incoming stab in a way that isn't realistic.
Really, making stabs unblockable (chamber only) would be the only realistic looking thing, but that would probably mar gameplay too much.

yes, buff the lolstab, even more.

Wow Panos, you really couldn't be bothered to finish reading my sentence, could you?
... but that would probably mar gameplay too much.
Do you just not know what mar means? I am in no way advocating making stabs unblockable. I'm just talking about visual realism.
