I would just like to know. Thanks a bunch.

20% penalty on everything I think.
Also, someone told me you only have 100 effective wpf with longsword in 1h mode.

The effective wpf part is bs, but the percentage penalty should be correct. Can't remember the exact number, so 20% is probably correct. I'm very certain it is not a lesser penalty at least.
You basically hit and swing too slow to be effective with it, and the damage nerf makes it even worse.

From the Game Mechanic Megathread:
- If you use polearm with a shield or from horseback, you get -27.75% damage penalty
- If you use twohander with a shield or from horesback, you get -23.5% damage penalty if that twohander can be used with a shield (ie has onehander animations). If not, the penalty is -15%.
- Both cases above also have some sort of a speed penalty.
The exact value isn't listed, but I've heard that the mentioned speed penalty is equal in magnitude to the damage penalty, which is to say -23.5% speed for a 2h being used with a shield.
I've also been told by Smoothrich that the polearm with shield penalty was removed or reworked in the last patch (http://forum.meleegaming.com/game-balance-discussion/new-two-handed-thrusting-swords-estoc/msg650682/#msg650682), although I would like if someone else in a position of authority weighed in on whether this is actually the case or not. My own testing of it seems to indicate the polearm with shield penalty is the same as before.

Thanks guys. On damage, I feel that it's a pretty good possibility for hoplites having less of a penalty for damage, but that was really over TS/my own experiences.

So while using a 2her in 1her mode what wpf do you need?

1 handed, 80% positive on that.
