I'm trying to acquire this graphics card http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7191450&CatId=3669 (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7191450&CatId=3669) because it doubles my current shit and its within my price range. My dilemma is that I am not sure if it will go on sale for Cyber Monday or not. Because if I can get a sweet deal on this and spend less money then why not? If anyone has any idea how to check to see if this will go on sale or if you can find a graphics card of equal or greater performance within the price range of $150 max, then any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Card blows, don't get it.
Added in Edit: Just kidding, I used to have the same card (two of them in fact) and I liked them a lot. Another thing you may consider is checking if you have a MicroCenter nearby you, if not, check their website, they may have Cyber Monday deals posted.
Also, go to slickdeals.net and look at their graphics card info. A lot of people leak Cyber Monday and Black Friday stuff from their company beforehand so you can know exactly what's going to be on there. Hope that helps.

Well my current card is an ATI Radeon HD 5700 soooooooooo that one is a huge upgrade lol. I just need a good one within 150 bucks, which should be even easier with cyber monday hopefully.

Well, with the 560 TI through EVGA, you're looking at running pretty much any game currently out flawlessly and with good fps.
Mount&Blade will look great, hardly any lag even with particles like fires and stuff.
Planetside 2 should be just fine.
Battlefield 3 no problem.
Assassin's Creed--puhhhlease.
It will handle what you throw at it, and EVGA is about the only manufacturer of the 560tis that I like. I had bad luck with PNYs and other junky manufacturers.

Not still if you're still looking into this one, or are looking at a different one, but I work at Best Buy, if you want I could ask them if we're gonna have any deals on any graphics cards you might be interested in. I mean personally I buy at newegg, but hey, it's worth a shot, right?

Now the price is jacked up a bit but it would get the job done, as well with an additional fan. The only complaint I see about this one is that it may be a little big. Im not sure how it will fair with my current tower.

Only 4 expansion slots, it will be tight in there.
Take a pic of the inside of the case, because the Asus website doesn't show one.
Only reason I recommended the 1GB 7850 is because it was inside your price range.

Well how will this perform though? Because I read some feedback on the 1GB and a lot of people said that they had trouble running games like BF3, Skyrim, etc., and more like these more recent games.

You should get nVidia card. Not because crap nV fanboys say, there are valid reasons for it:
1) AMD is dying company, there is a chance that next this time next year you won't be able to get new drivers for your card
2) AMD drivers for Linux are shit and Steam is getting ported to Linux
3) nVidia 660Ti series are more expensive but are better than AMD 7850/7870
4) AMD OpenGL drivers are really bad and there will be a number of good OpenGL games coming
Maybe in a month or so there will be some really good sale for 660Ti.

It's not a good card at all for the price. With your argument, I could say the HD7970 is better than the GTX660TI, even though it's more expensive. See how stupid this sounds? OK.
4) AMD OpenGL drivers are quite fine. There's no difference between nV / AMD when it comes to OpenGL. What games are coming out that are notable using OGL?

For Skyrim it could be useful, for BF3 it won't make much of a difference. BF3 will use as much vRam as you have as it uses a dynamic memory system. It will use as much as you have available. I have 2 GTX680s, and it uses around 1900mb (2GB cards) in a full 64player MP server. It looks exactly the same as it did on my 2 GTX480s (1.5GB cards).
Seeing the HD7870 for an extra $10 is a pretty good deal. I would go with the 2GB HD7870 I posted in the link before.

2) At this point Linux isn't important but in the future it could be, especially if Valve is building its own OS around it. I want to fully migrate to Linux. I own Windows 8 and it's complete failure. Also I'm using steam, people who buy physical copies of games belong to the past. EA Origin isn't nearly good as steam, Windows Games is utter shit and that Ubisoft plaything is even worse...
3) Right now, 7950 might be a better choice. It's ultimate choice if you're bitcoin mining. But for everything else I would choose nVidia at this point. There will get better support through drivers in the future and their architecture is superior to AMDs in this generation. 1) This won't be a problem. AMD, if it does go bankrupt (and it will take longer than 6-9 months), would be subsequently bought by (most likely) Microsoft. They would continue the manufacturing aspects and nothing would change, just new management.
2) Linux has been around a very long time. It's not the future, it never will be the future, and it will continue being the developer OS for it's completely open source coding. Valve is not building it's own OS, as they aren't interested in getting involved with Microsoft / Apple. When Valve says they are porting Steam to Linux, it's the same as when they ported Steam to OSX. All they are doing is adding support for Steam in the Linux OS. Steam will continue to have Mac and Windows support, and Windows being the fastest to receive updates.
3) There is nothing that indicates nVidia's architecture is better than AMD's in the current generation. The HD7970 is roughly 15-20% faster than the GTX680 with the new 12.11 drivers, and is substantially cheaper. This is coming from a GTX680 owner. Trust me, I'm pissed. AMD may be bankrolling on a deficit right now but they are in the process of re-investing from bad markets into new markets. They will be OK if they make smart decisions in the next fiscal year.
4) OpenGL is not the future. It's been around forever, and even with the famous John Carmack praising it as the better system, it's gone no where. You said it yourself, Unity engine has support for both DirectX and OpenGL, so there is no problem here. If, as you say, notable games are in development using OpenGL, then AMD will respond and up the driver support. Until then, there's no need for them to waste money on a low-tier system.
I will give it to you that GTAIV plays better on nVidia GPUs, but we can't say the same about GTAV. Speculation like that just leads to bullshit being posted, and I'd like to see that avoided.
