Title: Free Lands of the Tundra (Again!)

The breeze returned to the tundra as the latest bloodshed ended.  The frozen landscape had housed many wars, and this one was no different.  Somewhere in it's long history, the Tundra was a land of free trade, some uncertain series of events caused the unfortunate collapse of the trader's safe haven.  New Yruma, once the heart of the FLoTT and TAMDA free trade pacts had changed hands many times since it was removed from the Knights Union.  Most importantly, Elindor the Archon of the Holy Guard, who is well renowned for being a fierce warrior as well as the author of the original TAMDA document.  New Yruma has once again changed hands, and now the Tundra will resume it's status as a free land with a free trade platform.

Everyone is welcome to come trade in the fiefs listed above.  In the event that another person joins the Free Trade League, they may add specific rules to their fief.  Otherwise, come and use up as much S&D as you need to in the blue labeled fiefs.

Also, for a short time only, the Dragoni of Valahia has a large stockpile of surplus gear (all of it is at least +1).  Smaller / newer factions may apply to receive a portion of this gear.  To apply, private message Artyem on the forums or add me on steam (http://steamcommunity.com/id/Despair2k/).

May we all enjoy good fortune and wealth.

Who is going to buy goods at twenty-five gold with a 20% sales tax when so many other factions are willing to make trade agreements to buy and sell at low-price, low-tax fiefs all over the map? (I'm asking in earnest; I just don't know how to word it without sounding incredulous.)

Perhaps no one, but we're really only putting out the word that people can come sell their goods here as much as they want.

And as for the bear skins, even if no one buys them then I can at least use the gold I receive from taxes to pay workers to haul them off where I never have to see them again.

Its a great sell fief since its so far north, I think the buying bear skins was a fun roleplay.  But yeah yous ell there they make 20% but you get good distance bonus (especially from desert) multiplied on a 25 sell price fief (almost no fiefs that high).  So yeah its worth it if you sell there rather than at 21 price fief you actually make more with equivalent distance bonus as the 18% higher price more than compensates the 15% higher tax than the default 5%.

I know some of our traders may take advantage of it becuase its a good distance bonus.

Well, I just did the math, and if you buy here and sell elsewhere at a price of twenty (low for a high-priced fief) and a sales tax of 25% (the highest I've seen thus far, perhaps the maximum), you start turning a profit at a 227% distance bonus. If your destination's tax is as low as 5%, your profits will start at 167%. (Someone point out problems in my math if you don't get the same number, please.)

You don't really have to travel that far to get a 300% distance bonus, so I guess it's only going to make a significant difference if you're buying a lot of goods--you'll be slower and get a much higher margin reduction. So if you're just in the area and need to pick up a hundred goods or so as a second set of no-penalty crates and you'll be traveling half the map or more, there's no reason not to buy them here.

With the collapse of Fimbulvetr, the village of New Ulburban once again becomes a sovereign state.

We, the true protectors of Yahtzee welcome one and all to spread their wealth to our grand holding.

Come sell your shit.

Massive changes, New Ulburban is no longer the only free trade fief!

EDIT:

Also updated the information on New Karindi, it'll be awhile before full info on the other two becomes available.

New Ayyike is not in the snow, but gets the cold winds blowing off the Tundra. We at Ayyike would like to make a trade route in shulus or the other one if possible

I suggest contacting Arys or Froyo, I don't have any control over the trade in their fiefs.
