meh, I wish it was possible to steal the gold from other players, untill then banditry is so limited, and having so much gold means nothing tbh, I could have combined all that I made before taking a break instead of distributing it, your balance just shows you have fuck all to upkeep around the place XD

Too bad those ''millionaires'' have no pics. And i highly doubt it. UIF/Coalition just puts some gold into their fiefs to pay for upkeep or buy gear for it. Nobody would waste valuable time farming gold just for the hell of it so no.

I doubt it. Especially with so many wars around.

Not the same thing if it's combined. This was 1 million gold on 1 single trader. Afaik he traded all of that by himself as well and didn't get handouts.

Most of your trade run originated from me, when I handed 7000 goods to another FCC guy who gave them to you.  Then I came up and carried up another 5000 goods just a day or two behind you.  Also I continuously gave money to fuel our campaign.  This does not make me a larger target as there is no way to take gold from other players unless they leave it in a fief.  It simply means that others should take my "heavily armed" status even more seriously because this money is being and will be spent.

Also Anders, renown is not actually a good thing.  It means you have lost that much money in equipment.  I prefer victories over renown.

Even if it was only 50% of players gold, would make Strat MUCH more entertaining, make battle/supply lines & siege warfare more strategic.  Stupid that someone with gold can just shanty around with a few horses and launder money without risk to themselves or clan.  Caravans would actually have a reason to arm themselves and banditry would be encouraged

Heh. I've had one major battle(Me versus PM of canada. I lost bought 350 killed 450. made 90k renown. the rest came from village assaults which resulted in maybe 100 casualties at most.(for 20k renown)

Still carrying 7000 goods, if there were actual raiders, then you wouldn't be able to do that. It's the stupid thing, people are moving shit tons of goods around(1000 crates i've seen A LOT) and have no penalties to worry about beyond movement speed.

It's not what you lost in the battle; it's the total equipment lost in the battle. You can claim a great victory and lots of renown if you force the enemy to lose lots of equipment, and you'll get credit for most of it.

Yeah I never liked how gold was off-limits when you attack someone, seems pretty backwards to me...you should at least be able to take some gold if you win a battle versus someone...never understood the logic behind this.

I agree actually, gold should be available. Wasn't it like that in at least Strat 2 with what happened to Ecko?

I think in strat 2 we capture a fief that had a ton of gold in it not spent. gold on a person has always been off limits... but smart move is port the guy with the gold... essentially taking it off the table till they get back. not perfect but still a nice tactic

And if they try to buy goods in EU to make a profit out of their unfortunate spawn location, you can bet your boots they'll get attacked six to eight times trying to get back!

When the young mithril soul was sent to hell before his time the devil let him keep his gold and spawned at the edge of the grey order territory, literally across the map. Wanting to get reattacked mithril was sad to find that no grey order member was anywhere near him. Determined to change that he went to a nearby fief was thousands of S&D in it. 50k worth of goods later mithrilsoul went to the next fief and sold his goods, making around 2k profit.

Sure enough 12 hours later many greys were chasing mithril and one gave him a free ride back to hell. This time mithril spawned in the north right on the border. As fate would have it the NA north was consumed by a war and noone was concerned with S&D. So 52k gold worth of goods and a few weeks of travel later mithril shows back up at home and becomes the 2nd strat millionare.
