Cancelling a battle kills your troops now. Be careful Chesty.

Probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

I think now the best bet is to QMR once the battle starts. I think you get to keep some of the gear that way.

Should make it that only when u lose u lose all ur troops but when u retreat u keep a certain percent of whats left in your army(including troops), also for when u cancel it should be like when u retreat except you keep more.

Free +!!!! :D
Because you can lock your enemies then without loses - lock him, wait 1 hour, then cancel attack and attack him once more. If there is cooldown for attacking - make your friend attack him, etc. But yes, losing all troops is too harsh, 50% would be enough I think.

Seems like a loss free cancel window of 45 seconds, with no immediate re-attack would be a better system.  It let's you cancel a misclick attack and still not abuse the system.

Yeah I never liked the retreat system.  Especially if you're the attacker on a siege of a castle or city.  If we retreat, we lose 100% of our troops, but keep a lot of the gear.  You should keep some troops on a retreat.  Or change the name to surrender from retreat.

That really irks me on castle sieges, you should be able to retreat towards the end with 500 troops when you run out of ladders or it's a lost cause...you should be able to tell your 500 remaining men in your siege camp, welp boys, pack it up, we're going home.

If the defenders don't sally out and take your flags, it should be seen as a retreat by the attackers (like the name says) not a surrender/sacrifice of all your troops.

Terrible system that is long due for some TLC.

Agreed, Your troops don't just go AWOL when you retreat from battle. It really should be that you pull back you're only routed, not wiped.
