I believe it is related to AUS players being too godlike to be killed by polearms.

I've got 21 Str with 7 PS, also on polearms but I think the damage output is ok. The only thing that got a lot worse in my personal view is that all of a sudden I'm glancing all the time. I used to play Long Spear a lot (+3) but I cannot play it anymore cuz I'm glancing all the time, I've tried it running towards a standing target with medium armor, jumping + stabbing... glance. Dont know if some changes were done, it might also be the fact that my average gaming skills dropped to horrible.
I switched to hafted blade or axes, they work well imo.

I normally do pretty well but when compared to 2H and even 1H the damage is not even proportionate.

Combined with the very obvious and clearly visible polearm animation it makes for a hard time as a  polearm player.

Maybe it is just the way i play rather than a problem with polearm as I get plenty of kills with 1H and 2H on my alts and when its 1 on 1 I do okay with my main but against groups of opponents being slow and bouncing far to often is a real problem.

40+ damage 120+ length weapons glancing too often ? Duh. Except if something changed yesterday, we haven't been playing the same game.

I have a polearm build from before the turnspeed modificartion
24str

8PS

140wpf

5 ath

It does almost no damage 3-5 hits to kill most opponents with a glaive even more with the long bardiche in fact i haven killed anyone with it ever.

I have a website kd of just under 1.8/1 but it is rapidly declining. I get more melee kilss on a 4 PS archer alt some nights.

Im playing well and landing hits they just arent killing.

Im frustrated and dont know if i can make it to next gen before respeccing.

today a 12 str opponent with medium heavy armour took only 1/5 health from a long bardiche hit i than received 65% damage from his pick.

If this is some kind of sick chadz joke im finished cya in native.

TBH, sometimes i feel like the polearm stab sweetspot change/buff that accompanied turn rate nerf is gone now. Probably just placebo, but still...

Also noticed some glancing even on well placed hits not to often but with MW long bardiche is ridiculous.

If what I have to say is something I have said before, then I can quote myself.

Also, I technically didn't quote myself. I just posted something I have posted before.

But if you don't need xp nor gold any more why should you care about winning?

Your atrocious Australian ping is probably making it impossible to hit your sweet-spot with such a long weapon, making your damage as a result drop.

Putting into sig is not posting. Putting into sig usually means "that is great", and if you put yourself in your sig, then you are saying "look, how awesome I am", and this is not really to be called humble  :P

Is polestagger back or is the stun just heavier?

I find it takes around 4-5 hits to kill someone with my +3 poleaxe yet I can get two hit while wearing my +3 Lordly Katafraktoi Armor by a 2her, maybe its because they swing faster or something idk but they definitely do more damage even though their weapon damage stats wise is lower.

Im no coder not smart with maths but Im pretty sure its because they swing faster or hit some tiny ass hit box to do more damage  :P

I've noticed that my MW glaive/quaterstaff also glances much more and that my hits seem to do less damage after the latest round of patches. The biggest change I've noticed is that the average number of hits it takes for me to kill someone in medium-heavy or heavy armor has increased by 2 or 3.

Are people just talking out of their asses here...? Because I haven't noticed a thing.

Sure the stabs are fucked, but they've been that for a long time now.

Would be nice if some of the less used PA's were rebalanced now, like Hafted Blade, Long Voulge, Spear/Shortened Spear, Military Scythe, Long Spiked Club. Make them cost more or something too, just would be nice to see more variety

I play in LCC_cRPG_AUS and I suspect that the swing speed nerf is to blame for the irregularity of damage and speed.

I find that the shorter polearms deal more damage and are easier to use in ganks but what is the point if you cant stop a horse might as well go 2H and get more reach and damage and speed.

Its not so much glancing more the low damage from what seem like solid hits. They seem solid until the guy you have just hit (12str) burts out laughing at your low damage.

Im going 12 ath next gen so glancing will be expected and I wont mind.

Well, I for example dont see any changes in the polearm.   If somebody feel that his weapon is Op, so think about switch to other class or better other game.

My K/d 1393/839, 1.7:1 . Ye i know its not good
so cya on battles

I can't tell if people here are serious or not. I use a MW GLA (48 cut) with 8 PS and the only thing I've noticed is that I'm a filthy crutch.

^that weapon is short.

its also very high weight and damage.

As i said might as well go 2H if you dont get horsestop.

Free tip: Hold S and spam right swings if you're using a glaive.

In all honesty, when I had a glaive with 7 PS I had no problems using it and actually felt really, really dirty using it. No weapon that long with 40c should swing that fast. Even hiltslashing a facehugger was lethal, so yeah.

^Was that before or after patch.

Also people in australia can block/move so s key and only one attack direction is pretty much useless.
