Title: More Dark-Age helmets

There's a pretty good selection of Dark Age, Nordic, Anglo-Saxon or Celtic looking gear in cRPG, but there's few historical pieces. The pictured helmets are all from the Vikingr mod, which has a lot of great Russian gear in cRPG. These helmets would look great with alot of different body armors IMO, so it would be great to see them added for more historical variety.

get permission from vikingr modders and annoy our modders to add it afterwards. otherwise nothing will happen :mrgreen:

I plan on talking to the Vikingr modders..Also, I would love to see the Veiled Nasal Helm to be added the most out of all of these. To me, it's basically just a more realistic looking piece than the "Nordic Pot Helm." Coppergate is also another personal favorite.

pretty much all of them already exist in cRPG: Nordic Pot Helm, Conical helm, Nasal Helmet, Norman Helmet, Vaegir war mask, Clibanarius, Vaegir Nobleman, Guard Helmet, Gnezdovo, Novogrod, Tagancha Helm with Veil.

Veiled Nasal Helmet and that body armor just need to be added. I would only wear that items if they get added.

A ri coicid helmet looks cool. Reminds of late period roman armor. Personally would love to see more early period stuff.

Just a heads-up (and a free bump), this time period is considered the Early Middle Ages. The Dark Ages is a largely antiquated term that misrepresents the period between the fall of the Western Roman Empire to the Carolingian Renaissance as being remarkably dull and uneventful, which is really not the case.

These pictures are taken from the Víkingr mod, which I fully recommend to the history buffs out there.

I particularly like the Valsgaarde helmet, but I would prefer being able to see the face behind the eye slots.

Totally going to necro this post (hopefully Zagibu comes back from the dead too). I STRONGLY suggest taking another look at the armors in Víkingr. They are all very well textured and should be compatible with cRPG since Víkingr runs on WSE (I am computer illiterate, so I might be very wrong about that).

I love the Vikingr mod and I would like it to see some new helmets in cRPG. And maybe there's a way to get more stuff of it in cRPG like some armor or shields. That would be really great!

How on earth has all this great stuff not been added yet to cRPG?? It's a bloody piss take, all the Vikingr gear is a great standard and should be hailed as such. Any news on getting permission from the Vikingr devs?
