doesnt look 'horrible' to me, but the shoulders and arms are basically not anywhere close to armor.

The red crimson colored japanese armor in game (dont know the exact name in game) is probably the closest looking to real lamellar.  Lamellar typically doesnt work that great outside of chest & thighs

I suggest it is removed completely, model and texture suck.
replace with Narfs rus armor pack

i was trying to find lamellar cuirass (associated brf files and dds textures) but i failed. anybody has an idea where and how to find that?
i used open BRF explorer to search for it.

agreed 100%. It's a model from some old vanilla version.

+1, The only reason I stopped using this was because it looked so ugly to wear. A different texture would be nice.
