Hello guys, I tried 4 new polearms there :

I wanted a real great GUISARME and a new texture for FAUCHARD but new patch only gave me strange poleshits

They are all inferior to the Long Awlpike, they do not have a good spot balance wise. Apart from that they are virtually interchangeable as far as stats and looks go, save the Partisan. I am all for adding more items and variety though, so keep it up.

I suggest giving these weapons stronger overhead attacks, seeing as the Long Awlpike is nothing but a stick when swung and these weapons have actual blades and spikes on the side.

ATM my favorite is Corseque for pierce / lengh / speed actions...

Partisan is shit cut, Ranseur is shit slow, Spetum is same as corseque but with blunt overhead...

Long awlpike is better than all of them when it comes to stats. That more speed and stab dmg makes a difference.

Partisan is badly balanced, change Thrust into pierce (30?) or increase cut damage.

Spetum is useless with this spec.

What we really need is a Super Long Voulge, a 180 length Poleaxe with natively 50 cut dmg + "Bonus against Shield".

To be balanced : 15 blunt thrust and 82 speed rating allow overhead/thrust only ofc :mrgreen:

And bring back Boulder on stick!

I have a feeling they won't be sheath-able for very long. I do like how they don't have a sheath slot assigned though, having ninja weapons is nice.

The people want them! Come on, we can have one 180 length four directional polearm, make it a gimmick weapon for all I care. Don't let these two shining examples of lulzy crpg culture die forever.

I support the Looney Toon's Axe. It was here back before the slot system, multiplyers, and upkeeps came. I think we could make the Looney Toon Axe balanced by making it 3 slots, unshealthable, unbalanced and not usable on horseback. Give it some current day cRPG tweaks and it will be fine  :mrgreen:

Ah yes, the long awaited "August" patch, the greatest patch in history.  Let us see what we've been given:

A few changes to balance, some of which are okay.
A new race-car driver helmet, go fast!
Archers can wear full plate and shoot their bow accurately again.
Four "new" polearms, all of which are completely unique from the last and totally aren't the same thing with slightly different stats and a different mesh.

amazing patch 10/10 would download again

sheathable, nice looks, they pack a good punch, perfect teamplayer weapons

And I assume the septum has knockdown, cos of the blunt damage. Well I hope.
And if you're not changing the partisans stab damage, give it bonus vs shield maybe? I understand why it was done, to make it more effective vs lightly armoured targets, but that's not really helpful in cRPG

Also, I assume this was to push polearms more towards support weapons again? Maybe, if possible, a few of the plearms could have a faster turn during overhead, just to balance against all those circle spammers, namely the bill, halberd, these new ones

The new weapons would be very strong with 2-3 more speed. Their reach and damage is great, but you can flush the purchasing/upkeep money in a (virtual) toilet, as you cannot block with them properly.

Overhead block is especially worse, a spamming whore can slash you twice before you lift the thing over your head.

Ok, enough of crying now. Time to fight on with these weapons, but it

they're all pretty terrible weapons and fill no purpose other than looks.  They're too short for support, too long for 1v1.

Longspear/pike outrange them by a giant amount, ashwood/lightlance/awlpike out speed them significantly
