Title: Lost levels on my alternate character after transfer.

My alternate character was on level 20 and I had just bought some weapons and armour. I even used them on a server for a while. I noticed on the website that you can transfer between characters so I decided to transfer some equipment and gold from my main character to this alternate character. I was just equipping the items on it when it said 'invalid items' and then I noticed that there was equipment missing. I looked at the main page and i'm only level 16 now! What happened? Do you lose any levels for making transfers? It doesn't make sense!
