Title: Quick question about wep prof.
Post by: Sir_Mahtin on October 26, 2012, 12:41:46 am
If you get a wpf up to 99, what would the damage reduction be?

I couldn't say for sure as I don't know, but at the same time I don't think it matters much as long as you got over 100 effective wpf after weight penalty. Then it's all about timing, speed bonus and possibly enough powerstrike to avoid glances.

What's your goal at the moment?

Compare to what ?

You win about 2.5% damage for each 10 wpf, so it shouldn't be a lot anyway.

Yeah, was going to go 2 throwing and have 99 wpf since I would like my 1h to be at 100. Using throwing as just a back up for throwers, but really I might just cut it out and put those wep points into one hand.

afaik it doesn't give some kinda percentage of extra damage but rather 1 plain extra point of damage

Damage Base Multiplier is 0.85+0.15(wpf/100)
Alternatively: Base Damage Multiplier = 0.85+0.0015wpf

Or in plain simple English: Base damage is 85% of the listed value, and you receive another 0.15% per point in wpf, hence why you break even at 100WPF (0.85+.15=1.00 or 85%+15%=100%)

Does that go before or after the 8% bonus per power strike?

They stack multiplicatively.

It's not like having 99 wpf is much worse than a 100. It's a constant relation between effective wpf and damage bonus.

Guys a related question here:

imagine you reached a new level and you have like 80 wp´s to distribute...

Are these points valid only after submitting? or could I put those 80 points on pole, play a round or two, and redistribute them again to 2h for example? That would be very suitable for a multi-weapon bitch like me

Would love to hear your thought on that

Wut. You can't redistribute points after actually saving them, unless you respec or retire.

Nono before saving I meant, distributing the points, playing and then the question if the extra points are already valid without saving them

Have to learn to do some research first before posting such questions
