IIRC arrows that hit the head that don't kill don't stick, they vanish. It only looks like it hit his head, but it's really in his body hitbox.

They can stick in the head if you have a very low amount of hp left. Only times I've seen them stay in the head while surviving is when my hp bar is as black as you can get without dying. Can post a screenshot if you don't believe me. Happened quite a few times, but I think I only screened one, and that was because the projectile was right in my character's eye

I saw many arrows in head (really in head not in body hitbox)...I propose to put it all if you have more... please contribute to this amazing new PEPE's thread  :mrgreen:

I have several screenshots of surviving an arrow or a bolt through the head with some poor headgear on but I don't wanna post it all over again as I also survived a bolt through the head without any helmet at all. Just grow stronger & some balls & some brains.  :twisted:

But yeah, they're according to the engine stuck in the body hitbox, though it looks like a headshot.

My character has survived arrows, +3 arbalest/bolts, and throwing lances to the head by the enemy so nothing new here for me. Go strength my old friends.

IIRC, projectiles hitting the head but not killing, will only stick if they do 80 or more damage. So you got to have 81 or more HP to have projectiles stuck in your head without disappearing.

Howabout surviving with a masterwork jarid in the head? It happens all too often. :\ Headshots need a non-linear damage buff, so that dings from the weakest ranged kill about as often as they do now but projectiles with more damage/greater mass are more likely to one-shot.

The guy who shot me said he had a longbow and 7 PD.
